Pet care experience
I've always been around dogs. Most of my life I've cared for at least two dogs at a time. I'm a very responsible pet owner. My dogs are my life! They get exercise nearly everyday and affection at all times. I work primarily from home and so have a flexible schedule. When I'm in vacation I love when my dog sitter sends me pictures of my dogs. This would be something I'd do for you as your sitter. If your dog needs medicine I have a lot of experience administering injections, even intramuscular, oral pills, IV fluids, and topical meds. Your dog would be in good hands with me I promise. I know how difficult it is leaving your pet and knowing someone responsible is watching your pet means everything!

There is nobody better than Shala Wyant to take care of your dog(s) - nobody. Her whole life is "dogs". She is an animal rights activist and volunteers for many pet programs such as the fence project, Iowa Voters For Companion Animals, Bailing out Benji etc. There are only a couple people I would trust to take care of my precious pups and she is my number one choice. Your dog will be safe, loved, and happy with Shala.
Shala loves dogs. They are children to her. This cannot be stressed enough. They are her life and priority. She will not let anyone near them who doesn't have a proven track record of being nice to dogs. She won't let anyone near them hardly at all anyway. She cares for them tremendously. She pays attention to every little detail. Grooming, general health, specific health....she takes care of dogs. You will never find someone who cares for them more or who will take better care of yours.
Shala is amazing with dogs and all other animals! She treats her dogs better than some parents treat their kids. She makes sure they are always taken care of. If she has to be out of town overnight, she will have me (or someone she truly trusts) stay at her house so they are not alone all night by themselves. I trust her more than anyone else I know with my pets.

I have no breed preferences. I love ALL dogs. If I'm checking in on dogs I would want to know if there are any aggressive tendencies. For example I have two dogs and one is food aggressive and so I feed them in separate rooms.
A typical day
I will not charge for dog walking. I realize it will charge you for the walk but I have a way to make it a negative balance so you won't get charged for the walk. I would walk your dog regardless of whether I got paid for it or not (if you want that is). If the client would like their dog walked I am more than happy to do so. Exercise is so important for dogs. If they like to play fetch or tug of war I'll play with them. I'll give lots of kisses!
