Pet care experience
I grew up around animals. I love them all- every size, breed, and species. There was never a time in my life when we did not have at least dogs and cats in the household. I recently worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital in the area. My work included (but was not limited to) feeding, walking, medicating, bathing, playing with, and providing comfort, love, and emotional support to the animals I helped care for, as well as assisting the veterinarians in their exams. I have always been happiest when I am outside, spending time with and caring for a new animal friend. I will always provide loving, compassionate, capable and knowledgeable care for all your animal family members.

Shai is wonderful. If I could giver her a 10 rating I would. She gave my 3 dogs 1on 1 attention, and did more than expected. I have one dog who takes a long time to warm up to anyone she’s introduced to but she took to and was comfortable with Shai immediately.
Shai has been a regular pet sitter and pet walker for my two dogs for several years now. Shai is the most empathetic animal caregiver I have ever met! She speaks to and treats any pet with a level of compassion I've only seen in parents with their young children. She is always thinking ahead about what will be best for the animal in terms of both their physical and emotional health. Since completing her occupation at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital, I've noticed an even greater attention to detail bolstered by her precise knowledge of preventative care and emergency service experience. I truly could not recommend a better caregiver for your dog than Shai. Not only does she have an expert understanding of animal behavior, but she also posses the rare skill of listening to and observing animals in order to understand their unique needs. Over the years, Shai has cared for my own dogs many times. She is consistently gentle, consistently firm, and consistently flexible, able to slightly adjust her behavior depending on the needs of each of my dogs. As an individual, Shai is hard-working and responsible; when sitting for my dogs, she has always been prompt, more than able to follow caregiving instructions, and quick to respond to my inquiries and send updates as desired. Shai has been my go-to animal caregiver over the past few years, and I highly recommend her to any and all pet owners in the area! She absolutely is the best person for the job.
