Hi there! My name is Shacelle and I have been working in a dog grooming salon for the past 9 years (dog bather for 4 years, now grooming for 5 years.) I have worked with many different behaviours, and most breeds you can think of! I have years of experience with puppies, senior dogs and cats! I am not a trainer, but I also have a dog of my own and would gladly help your pup work on leash skills and basic training! If they’re already the best they can be, we will simply enjoy a nice walk and/or a visit together while you’re away! Spending as much time with animals as I can has always made me happy. I have a strong love for them and bond easily with everyone I meet. I have been with Rover since April 2023 when I decided I wanted to expand my career, and spend even more time doing the thing I love most, which is spending time with all my furry friends! I am also CPR/Emergency First Aid certified.

Shacelle was very nice and kept us constantly updated regarding our dog and cats. She stayed in the apartment overnight, looking after our dog and two cats. She was very pleasant to talk to, and everyone seemed very happy when we returned. Overall, I would recommend Shacelle as a great pet sitter, and we will be returning to her to take care of our fur babies.

Shacelle is extremely passionate about animals and treats all animals with compassion and kindness! If you are looking for someone to give your dog as much love as you give them, then Shacelle is your girl! Seeing her interact with dogs is extremely wholesome and I promise your animals will be going home very happy and feeling very loved!
Shacelle has always been wonderful with my boy Jax. We have been using her grooming services for the past couple of years, as she was recommended to us through a friend, and we couldn’t be more pleased. She has always been very friendly and helpful, and we won’t take Jax to anyone else, he loves her!

Your pet’s safety is without a doubt the most important part of our time together. I am Pet First Aid / Emergency CPR certified, and am confident in my ability to keep them safe at all times. I ask that pet parents provide me with a list of any dietary/health restrictions, as well as any behavioural issues or concerns I should be aware of prior to the booking. I will follow all instructions given; ie. a specific walking route, a specific feeding time/routine, specific toys/treats that are limited etc.

A typical day
If I am house-sitting I will typically ask your permission to take your pup on walks. I believe mental stimulation is one of the best ways to ensure a happy pup, and what a better way than to get some fresh air and exercise! I enjoy “being silly” with dogs, and just genuinely having a great time. Playing fetch and tug of war are my dog’s favourite games, so I could do those for hours! Cuddle sessions are ALWAYS welcome if your pet is comfortable with it.

I currently groom dogs 4 days a week (Wed-Sat). During my time off I enjoy expanding my skills and experience by doing what I love most, spending time with animals.
