I would like to know how your dog typically interacts with others. Some dogs have a discomfort towards individuals of certain genders, children, etc. These are important things for me to know so I can give your dog the proper attention and care he or she needs.

When first getting to know a dog, considering he or she is most likely a little anxious being away from the primary treat-giver, I usually start by staying close to home in an area the owners have told me the dog is already used to. Once I have assessed how the dog behaves on a leash, further trips to a park would be considered. I feel that all dogs need an outlet for their energy. I am a huge fan of playing fetch with dogs, tug-of-war, or anything that will help your furry pal get up and moving provided their health allows them to do so.
