Beyond care for your furry kid

Pet care experience

I’ve had a couple of family dogs growing up, but I didn’t realize how fulfilled I felt taking care of them until I was an adult. It all started when I traveled home to stay with my family and met Mr. Smart, the new family dog, a surprisingly calm and independent Pomeranian with a gorgeous coat of fluffy, orange and tan fur. I loved him so much that I decided to take him back here to the US to live with me. That was when I learned that he had severe separation anxiety when he was left alone in the house, which quickly became a major challenge, as it required scheduling adjustments and finding trustworthy and reliable care for him. It is my goal to provide the care that I had such a hard time finding during that time. During Covid, my partner started working as a dog caretaker on Rover and I naturally became his assistant. I immediately fell in love with everything about it! I had the pleasure of meeting a variety of dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. After having worked behind the scenes, I’ve finally decided to debut on Rover to pursue my passion for these beautiful creatures more seriously! To me, It’s my personal mission to provide the trusted care and love to pups that they and their owners deserve, because I know how hard it is to find care that you can truly depend on and trust. While I hate saying goodbye to my new four-legged friends at the end of their stay, the most rewarding moment in the process is the moment when the dog and their parents reunite after being apart. I love seeing the look on pet parents’ faces when they are finally reunited with their fur baby. No matter how serious or reserved a pet parent might be, their face almost always lights up with pure joy upon meeting their fur child. It's a beautiful thing to witness! Seung is my all-time favorite dog sitter! I have a nervous husky but Seung took the time to get to know him, and soon he was so comfortable with her that he even began to be cheeky with Seung :) I know for sure Seung loves Aspen, and he loves her! Absolute best dog sitter ever! Thank you, Seung! Paws & kisses from Aspen.

We've had Seung take care of our labradoodle for a few years whenever we're away from home. For our pup Momo, Seung is the most attentive and caring aunt he really enjoys staying with. We know our dog would be having a great time with Seung when we are on vacation -- She's taken him to parks, on hiking trails, and introduced him to friends (Ollie, Aspen, Joaquin to name a few) and puzzle toys that he fell deeply in love with. Seung always sends tons of photos and videos by the end of each day, so we could be part of the fun even though we were not there.  I recall the first time we met Seung, she asked us to fill a brief questionnaire about our dog, so she could get to know him better. She also seemed to have quickly gained our dog's trust and have made a connection after his first stay. When we learned that she gave Momo the same water she drinks, we knew she took this job seriously. Overall, she is responsible, communicative, and trustworthy. We highly recommend Seung to all good pups in town.

I really loved the fact that Seung was on top of her communication with me - and with my border collie Edo! For me, it felt so easy to just text Seung and she was always patient and thorough with her response. And I usually received lots of updates with pictures and videos about Edo. Edo is super energetic and needs lots of attention and exercise on a daily basis. I could just tell how satisfied Edo was with the amount of play and exercise during her stay, because she would sleep in the next morning. Seung was also patient with Edo and had a way of communicating with her and training her to reduce those less desirable behaviors, like demanding food while humans are eating at the table. Seung clearly did her homework on working with less “easy” dogs. This went beyond my expectations of typical dog-sitting, as I struggled with those behaviors myself, and I learned quit a bit of how to talk with my Edo. Seung also had high quality toys for Edo at hand, and that made it so easy for me as I didn’t bring all her toys from my home. She was treating my dog like her own. I highly recommended her service to any dog parents!

Seung-Hee is amazing! She took such great care of my little corgie Max. It is very apparent the Seung-Hee has a natural ability to care for animals and I believe that is due to her attention to detail and how seriously she takes her role as a caretaker of dogs. She sent me plenty of photos and called me with updates about how they were doing. She even took him to the dog park! Based on the photos, I know that Max was well cared for with plenty of exercise and attention. I would strongly recommend leaving your pet with Seung-Hee for any length of time. She is reliable and I would trust her with Max again any day. Thanks Seung Hee!

From the moment they walk in the front door until the time they leave at the end of the stay, rest assured that my number one priority is the safety and well-being of your pup. Second only to that is the comfort and trust of their parents (you). When boarding with me, know that I place great importance on cultivating doubt-free trust. Outdoor Space: I live by a long river boardwalk where I can go for a walk/run with your dog. The apartment building has elevators. Living Space: - Filtered Water: Water is important to all of us, including our furry friends. - I own several bowls for food and water. - I also have several dog toys (indestructible) and puzzles for them to enjoy. - I ask that parents bring food, the bed, treats and anything else they feel like to ensure extra comfort for their four-legged kid.

Information Seung H. would like to know about your pet

Regarding booking with me, I may ask the first time guests to fill out a brief questionnaire relating the dog's history, behavioral quirks, routine, as well as your expectations. This ensures that I have all of the relevant information in determining whether the pup is a good fit. Additionally, it provides a written record of important details that can easily be missed, such as emergency contact info, vet info, dietary restrictions, aggressive tendencies & triggers, and any care needs for future reference.

A typical day

Puppers will be given more than enough time outdoors, a bare minimum of 2 hours daily, spread out to 3-4 walks for adult pups. In between walks, I often take a few minutes to engage my guests with leg massages and playful exercise indoors, simply to let them know that they are loved and to keep them happy, active, and socially engaged. To ensure that they exercise and burn off their often crazy energy, I always set aside some time for at least one longer walk/play in the morning/late afternoon, which is a benefit to both your pup and to myself. Between the attention your dog receives, along with walks and play time, your four-legged kid should be pretty worn out by the time they go home. If your dog is older or has health issues, this will be adjusted accordingly.

Availability

I work from home and arrange my schedule in advance so that your pup will never be left alone at my place. In terms of communications, I like to keep you updated once daily at a minimum for longer stays and more frequently for shorter ones. I will be sharing brief descriptions of their activities during the day, updates on how they are settling in, along with photos and videos of walks and any interesting moments worth capturing. I also communicate as needed throughout the day if I am unsure of something (rather than assuming anything about how your dog should be cared for). I will also gladly adjust my style of care and communication according to your needs. I am very attentive and I will do my absolute best to ensure that you and your baby are satisfied with the services I provide.
