Pet care experience
We’re a super laid-back couple who adore all things furry and feathery, and just can’t wait to meet your baby(ies)! Ours is a golden mix who is 9 years and is going on her 5th year as a healthy diabetic. Because of her, we’ve got loads of experience with administering oral medications, as well as injections, and know how important it is to follow a specific feeding regimen. Rain is also nearly blind. so supervision is key to her happiness. We've also recently adopted a new addition to our family--Birdie. She is a long-haired kitten that has definitely added more spice and fun to our lives. :) Seth is the one with the flexible schedule. He’s a full time student and is only 5 minutes away from home, a majority of the time - perfect for potty breaks and constant check-ins. Melissa works full time and is home by 5:30, just in time to help with the nightly feedings and needed walks for the day. Come see our home; we can’t wait to meet you!

Dave and I have rescued dogs for 20 years, and have not had a vacation for13 years, then kind of by accident I was having a catch up chat with a lovely young lady I've had the honor of getting to know Melissa since she was just 14 years old one specific act I watched was her love & commitment for her dog, Rain who was given to her for her H.S. graduation and immediately became a dog mommy of a diabetic pup. As an 18 yr old, I've always admired the dedication, love and care she gave Rain when most teenagers are not so responsible. Then I learned about Seth and he agreed to care for 11 of our 13 rescued for a weekend so that we could send the weekend with our son. I was texted greetings, and some photos that made us feel extra comfortable Gosh, so many great things to say about Seth and Melissa. We are lucky, blessed and will DEFINITELY ask him again.
Seth walked our dogs for a full week and was great with our animals (cats too when they made an appearance). We could tell that he is a true animal lover from the moment he first met our dogs at the meet and greet. He was great about sending pictures and finding new paths to take the dogs on each day and it really seemed like the boys enjoyed Seth, too. He was always on time (or early) to pick up the dogs for their walk and took his time with them. He even made friends with our shyer cat. We highly recommend Seth and have already started talking about next opportunities to use Seth (and Melissa).
We were so blessed to find Seth and Melissa! Our pups loved them and were treated like royalty. They sent us daily updates and pics that meant so much to us! Extremely responsible and even took time to clean up the house and change the sheets! After a long day of travel, it was a lovely treat. Our pups will definitely miss their new friends!
This couple was amazing!! They sent us tons of pictures and kept our doggies happy! They went above and beyond! Highly recommended!! We will be using them again!

Their temperament is number one for us. Since we don't know your dog/cate quite as well as you do we'll want to know what they're like--how they interact with new people and new animals (specifically for walking purposes). If they have any warning signs when they get uncomfortable, we'd like to know this so we can give the best care possible. Also, we state that dogs will be allowed on our furniture as well as our bed, but if this is not something you practice in your own home, we'd like to know so we don't send your baby back with some new bad habits!
A typical day
We'll take walks around our neighborhood, where there are many smells to sniff and sites to see. We also have many parks to choose from and even a dog park close by. We'll always ask permission to take your dog to a park beforehand.
