I have taken care of many of my friends' dogs over the years when they've gone out of town. Most of them bring crates with their dogs, but that is only a requirement if you know your dog might be destructive if left alone. Also, if your dog enjoys sleeping in their crate, I would suggest bringing the crate with you if they're going to spend the night. My Australian Shepherd mix, Penny, is a pretty friendly senior dog who enjoys sleeping in my bed and hanging out on a lead outside by the pond. I will require a meet-and-greet to make sure our doggies get along before the dates of the booking.
