Pet care experience
Hi I’m Serena! I’ve had dogs, cats, and small mammals in my home my whole life and have grown up helping to take care of and train them. I have spent time volunteering at veterinary clinics and subsequently have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, farm animals, and exotics, both in clinical and non-clinical settings. Due to my background, I am comfortable handling animals of all temperaments and sizes, from large and boisterous to small and shy. I love animals and am happy to meet them wherever they are to ensure they have a positive experience with me :) I have experience with geriatric and juvenile dogs and am able to provide any additional care associated with their age group. Additionally, I am happy to administer medication, brush teeth, bathe, or brush animals as necessary. I am also comfortable upholding any training regimes already in place to ensure the maintenance of good habits :) Being away from home means I have a lot of animal love to give and I would be so excited to spend time with your furry friend :)

Serena was excellent with our pup Yogi! Great communication, she followed all of our instructions to the tee and gave us plenty of pictures and updates throughout the day. Yogi had a great time with her and was very tired from the lovely walks she took him on during the day. Highly recommend Serena and definitely trusted her completely with Yogi!
This was our first experience of using Rover and we were very impressed with Serena, who Iggy warmed to really quickly. He was clearly relaxed with her when we got home. Serena kept us updated during the day and happily took on the training we have been doing for his occasional dog reactivity. Really good communication in setting up the session beforehand too. Thanks for looking after our crazy dog so well!

Serena was great with my energetic 1yo GSP Coco. She arrived on time, bonded with Coco immediately and took great care of her during the day. She sent me pictures and updates throughout. The fact that she’s a vet student makes me even happier as I can be sure she loves pets and understands them. Looking forward to seeing her again!

Separation can sometimes be stressful for a pet, so I am committed to making the experience as positive as possible. When pet-sitting I strive to allow the dog to be able to follow as normal of a routine as possible in their own home so they can have a happy and stress-free experience. Photo updates can be provided throughout my stay, and love & playtime are guaranteed. I am also happy to provide care for any cats or small mammals that reside in the home as well.

A typical day
Mental and physical stimulation is a must, so we will spend time together safely exploring new sights and smells around Edinburgh. I have a small park near me, but my favorite place to go is the Meadows so they have all the space they need to walk, run, jump, and explore. Because all my walks are one-on-one I can guarantee that your fur baby will be getting all the love and attention they deserve.

Availability
Any full time care would need to be on a weekend so they can have my full attention. I also have chunks of time throughout the week where I am able to check in on or walk dogs.
