Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for 10 years now. In summers growing up I'd spend my time on a family farm and help take care of the animals and gardening. I also love to take care of Cats and Dogs since I am not in a position to have pets of my own. I've also taken care of sick pets and have had to give medication to them if that is something that needs to happen.

Quick to respond to all communication. She did a fantastic job taking care of my pets, kept me updated daily, and left my place clean as if no one had been there at all. Would absolutely use again.
Serena was wonderful! This is the first time we had anyone stay with our dog (Ladybug) while away outside of family. She was very professional, came by the house twice before we left to make sure Ladybug warmed up to her, to go over logistics of things in the house she might need to know about, etc. She sent us a message as soon as she got there as we had to leave before she arrived. She kept us up to date on each day on how Ladybug was doing, and even brought in packages for us. Ladybug was happy when we arrived home and we may have even seen a bit of disappointment when it was us walking through the door and not Serena :o). We will definitely use Serena again next time we go out of town, even if we take Ladybug with us, to watch the house, water plants, etc.
Serena is terrific I highly recommend her to anyone seeking sitting services. I used her recently for my first time on Rover and had an amazing experience.

When I visit a clients house or stay there for house sitting I care for their pets as if they were my own. I love cuddles so if the pets do, we are in good company. I’ll play with them and help put them at ease, I know that most pets love to be reunited with their owners. I am respectful of the owners way of doing things and try to fill in as much as I can.

It’s really important to me to know what the temperament of the pet, if they are nervous or anxious, how they get along with other pets so I know how to respond when we are going on a walk if that is something we end up doing. I want to know how to best serve you pet.
A typical day
Sometimes I have even been know to read out loud to pets. I try to figure out what works best for the pets specifically, since they all have different personalities. I’m active and love being outside, I’ve been exploring new trails here.

Availability
I currently work 7:30am-4pm, so for walks or drop-ins I'd only be able to do them in the evening after 4pm. While house sitting they would need to be used to an 8 hour work day, I'd not be able stop in during my schedule day. I would be hanging out with them after work and on the weekends.
