**I GO BY IRA, NOT SERENA. THANK YOU!** I have cared for pets of all shapes and sizes my entire life. I began caring for pets on Rover at the start of 2023 and have gotten a good bit of experience and a few returning clients, which you can see on my profile. I also volunteer at local animal shelters whenever I can. Personally, I lived with my sister and took on half the responsibility of caring for her 7 month old puppy and two 2 year old cats. The cats are fairly low maintenance, although they easily get into mischief if they don't have enough attention and playtime. The puppy, on the other hand, needs SO much more care and attention. She is very high energy and needs walks and playtime many times a day. She used to pull a lot on the leash when we went on walks but I have worked with her enough on "heeling" to where she is quite well behaved! As a kid growing up on a farm, we often had outdoor dogs and cats, and my siblings and I were responsible for keeping them safe, happy, and well-fed. My mom also had a pack of wolf dogs when I was young and I will always think that they are some of the coolest, most majestic animals anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. We adopted a few puppies from the pound and I had a great time teaching them basic commands like sit, stay, shake, and roll over. I have a bit of experience with clicker training and find it to be highly effective. If you want help training your puppy, I would be glad to help! I find it very enjoyable.
