Pet care experience
my love for animals is very strong, and I aspire to become a environmental lawyer in order to help animals the best I can. I raised my now 4 year old dog since he was a puppy-he is now 70 pounds, and have taken in a now 19 year old dog for about 5 years-he is a small mutt from the pound; therefore, I am experienced with all ages and sizes of dogs. I have also raised my cat since he was a kitten, I got him from the pound at 9 weeks old!

My dogs are very well behaved and I have taught them how to listen to proper commands when walking them such as: sit, stay, and heel. I used positive reinforcement to train my puppy and he is now a very good boy! I think loving your pets no matter what the environment and building their trust is very important. Goleta and Isla Vista have lots of pretty areas to walk dogs in though! :)
Information Sequoia W. would like to know about your pet
It is important to know if dogs are good off the leash, what toys they like, what commands they know, if they get alone with other dogs, and where the dog should be left after the walk(in a crate, in the house, etc.)
A typical day
I haven’t been able to explore much here but i would definitely take the dog on a long walk-around a mile per 30 minutes-and bring their favorite toys, or use their toys at home.

I currently attend UCSB but my schedule is pretty flexible and not super crazy; unfortunately I don’t have my pets here with me while i’m attending college.
