If the dog has any allergies, sometimes I'll be bringing treats, but I will ask if that is ok beforehand. If he/she has any medical issues I need to watch out for, whether it just be basic fatigue or something more serious. I would like to know how the dog acts around other dogs in case we encounter them on our walk. (I won't be walking more than one dog at once so it's really good to know if we see another dog nearby.) If the dog has any triggers like loud noises or other dogs, we can go out of our way to avoid them. To provide the best pet care, I need to know their feeding schedule, special needs, favorite toys, behavioral concerns, and socialization & play style. This helps create a customized plan for a seamless, enjoyable experience for all.
A typical day
A typical day for me as a pet sitter is always filled with fun and adventure for the dogs in my care. I believe that every dog deserves to get out and explore, so I make it a point to vary my routes and allow them to sniff and experience new sights and smells. Whether it's a trip to the park, a leisurely walk, or a more strenuous hike, I am always looking for new and exciting ways to keep the dogs in my care entertained and happy. No two days are ever the same and I love the variety that comes with working with different dogs and their unique personalities.
