Pet care experience
I work at an ER for dogs and cats and have worked/volunteered at animal shelters! I am very passionate about animals and their wellbeing and dedicate my life to the welfare of animals. I love getting outdoors with dogs, especially on long walks, but also love to stay home and relax with less energetic pups. I have lots of helpful experience with animals from my volunteer and work related jobs at animals sanctuaries and shelters. I love pet sitting and knowing I can provide quality care to pets and families. I have experience with many dog personalities and behaviors, and will take special care of each dog's needs and comfort levels when it comes to socializing, play time, etc. I also have a lot of experience with medications (oral, injected), multi-dog management, shy/nervous dogs, energetic dogs, small to large, you name it! I am also fully capable of caring for other animals such as cats! I have experience with lots of cats of different ages and personalities. From shy to active. I am experienced in giving medication, subcutaneous fluids. I am also used to working with shy/skittish cats. Please let me know if my partner is welcome to come. Selena is fantastic - we highly recommend her! Selena stayed at our house with our older dog, Tavi, during the Christmas holidays. When we got home, Tavi was so calm and happy -he had clearly been well cared for with Selena (not to mention, our house was spotless!) This was the first time we'd used Rover, and I was a bit nervous about having someone I didn't know staying at our place and taking care of our sweet old man. But Selena put us at ease every step of the way. Super responsive to our questions from the first time we contacted her. Her communication with us was excellent, both before and during her stay. Selena sent us updates and pictures of Tavi every day - it really put our minds at ease during our trip. It seemed like whenever I thought "I wonder how Tavi's doing?", we'd get a text from Selena with an update. We'll definitely call Selena first next time we plan to be away!
Selena is an amazingly calm, knowledgeable, responsible and caring dog leader. I knew she was the person to ask to stay in our house and mind our two rambunctious large dogs (an older Italian mastiff, and a younger American Bulldog rescue who had had large fights requiring expensive vet visits, and dog training!!). She handled the bulldog attempting to pull on her clothes, by instantly and calmly turning her back on him. She had him better controlled than ourselves within a minute. She looked after our home and dogs as if she was our family, sent photos to us and generally was so wonderful that I will ask for her every time we leave. She is brilliant.
Selena was a great dog sitter. She was attentive to Mason, sent us tons of pictures, and communicated seamlessly with us. Couldn’t recommend her more!
