I'll give your pups all the pets!

Pet care experience

My main focus is your dog. I will always specifically make sure I'm providing care for only one family at a time to prevent unnecessary stress for your dog. I am a wildly compassionate individual and truly enjoy providing care for animals. Before booking services, I will make sure I know everything by bringing a thorough questionnaire to our Meet & Greet to make the visit successful, the dogs happy, and the owner comfortable. As I build my clientele, my experience with various dogs has skyrocketed. I have plenty of experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs, and will be more than happy to accommodate to your pup's needs. Regular exercise and scheduled meals are a given, but I can also give your dog a bath if we have too much fun! I have started providing my own toys for my doggy clients as I've noticed they are in absolute heaven when they find my holy basket of dog toys. I can guarantee I will do my very best to maintain your dog's happiness in my home!

We have used Selena to stay in our home. I can't say enough good things about her! We were gone for a full week, and everything was completely in order when we got home. I felt complete ease with having Selena care for our elder dog from the first time we met!

Selena is an Angel! What a treasure find!! I've used Selena 5 different times now. 3 drop ins for starters, and then we had a week long trip out of the country, and she came and stayed at my house and took care of my 14 year old senior dog! We then had to use her a week later to travel one more time for 4 days. Never once did I worry about the care of my dog (Sophie), or our house. I have a very anxious rescue dog, who was having serious health issues right before these trips were to take place. I would not have been able to place my dog in anyone's home, or kennel situation. Sophie had been with family her whole life. I've used Rover in the past for quick drop ins, and it was OK. but, Ive mostly only relied on family for Sophie. Selena was family. Instantly my weimaraner took to her. She ate for her, she walked for her. It was truly a godsend to find Selena! Selena was reliable, conscientious, communicative and just naturally a beautiful person! And..The house was left, as if no one was ever there? We are so grateful for her help!

Information Selena C. would like to know about your pet

I have experience with many breeds and have no preference. My experience with dogs ranges between completely different sizes and personalities, so I am generally used to adapting to a dog's needs. In order to ensure the dog receives the maximum quality of care, I would like to know a few things so I can properly prepare. I think my first question would be about the dog's temperament. For instance, does your dog need a certain amount of exercise? If so, how much? Furthermore, does your dog get anxious in public areas? If so, how does he respond and how can I prevent it/resolve it? I would also be curious how your dog does during car rides since I don't have a yard, I'd want to be able to take your dog to a place where they'd get the exercise they need. More importantly, I'd want to know of any dietary restrictions and/or allergies that I should be aware of or concerned about, along with any medication I'd be responsible for giving. I'm completely okay with administering medication and have experience with it, but would also be interested in knowing which strategy you use! I know a lot of dogs with separation anxiety tend to not eat, so I also have delicious organic & grain-free wet food, that they will not be able to resist. Overall, I want to make the smoothest transition possible from the dog's home to mine, so I'm ready to listen to any information that would be beneficial to the dog's well being!

A typical day

I have a great trail near my apartment called Soos Creek Trail. It's a 7 mile path, so I'm definitely prepared to help those hyperactive dogs release all of their energy. I'm also near a high school with a big field, which is a great space for a game of fetch. Since I don't have a yard, I have kept in mind a lot of parks and trails (both busy and quiet locations) to make up for it. If a dog is staying over multiple nights, I will make sure we go to a different place to go on a walk or play fetch. I just really want to provide an enjoyable visit that suits the dogs needs!
