I am a doctoral candidate in Washington, D.C., but I spend the majority of my week working remotely from Durham, North Carolina. I have a passion for the outdoors, and have walked roughly 3,000 miles on long distance hiking trails around the world. I have experience running a neighborhood pet- and house-sitting business growing up, and applied lessons from raising my own dog to the better care of others' animals. I am excited for the opportunity to use my skills again and spend time with your pet! I also have extensive experience caring for fellow hikers’ dogs on-trail, which presents unique challenges and requires special attention to paw care, tick/parasite prevention, and waste management. This means that I am able to walk even high-energy dogs for as long as they need on the wonderful trails and public spaces in the Triangle Area. My schedule reflects my life as an advanced graduate student: I am available from Friday, through the weekend, into Monday; from Monday evening to Thursday evening, I take classes and go to internship. This means I can care for your pet over a long weekend, giving you added flexibility over your schedule! I may invite my girlfriend, a doctoral resident at Duke, to come for walks when her schedule allows. Her family runs a pet resort in Virginia, and she is an enthusiastic pet owner and lover as well!
