I grew up in a house full of animals, from birds and rabbits to fish to dogs and cats. My mother's love for them must have been genetic. I've been a student for nearly a decade, and hence unable to have pets of my own--but pet-sitting and dog-walking is happy alternative, thanks in part to my flexible schedule. Always missing my pets back home. I live on my own in a pet friendly apartment, mostly doing research from home, but occasionally have to pop across the street to Duke for meetings. Can't wait to meet any pups, no matter the breed, size or personality. I like to stay active, looking for any excuse to go out to a park or for a walk around the neighborhood.
