I have been a dog lover, owner, walker and sitter for most of my life. I have cared for pooches of all sizes, from the spunkiest little Shih Tzu "Diva" to the lumbering 120lb Black Lab "Ace." Big or small, I seem to click well with dogs. My strong but calm energy allows dogs to trust me both at the home and on walks. I have experience leash training my parents 80-pound-boxer. Learning to have proper command of Ollie helped in controlling even larger dogs. Specifically, this helped with two large high-energy golden retriever boys (Yogi and Bear). Handling both of them on long walks gives me the confidence in handling any other big dogs. Besides, the golden boys being high energy and requiring long hikes walks, I spent the week caring for them: feeding, playing and obviously cuddling. My love for dogs has inspired my own business name "Hound & Hammer." It is a men's footwear company that represents the young dog-loving gentelman like myself. The logo is based off my parents dog and you will find him posing with our shoes in the top banner of our online store. I also bring up my business because I am a business owner with flexible hours. This will allow to spend extra times with the pups! And never would you need to worry about me being to busy to make daily visits, as I can work remotely. I believe my experience, my current work situation, and my love for the dogs makes me a great candidate for a Rover care-taker.
