Dog Loving Couple a Stone Throw from Salcey Forest

Pet care experience

We have both had dogs in our lives for as long as we can remember; from Terriers to Collies. While we don't currently have any dogs of our own (we instead have two small creatures that often think they are dogs; our ferrets) we do love having a dog or two in the house, enjoy giving them fuss and (of course) long walks in the local forest. I work from home full time. If I am out of the home it's only for up to 3 hours at a time where the ferrets will be locked upstairs in a separate room, and I am never more than 30 minutes away. Dogs will be walked once or twice per day (depending on needs) and have continual access to a fenced garden while I am home. They will be given all the love possible, and plenty of fuss! With us we guarantee; >> We do not have our own dog, which means you don’t have to worry or panic about your furry friend getting stressed or anxious being surrounded by animals they don’t know! >> We will only ever care for one dog (or family of dogs) at one time, so your 4-legged-loved ones will have all our attention while they stay in our home (and they will get a lot of attention!) >> We aim to mimic your dog's home life as much as possible; so if they get walked 3x per day, eat 5x per day, sleep on the bed and reside on a throne… then we will make that happen! (You’ll need to provide the throne though!) >> Once you stay with us once we will ‘lock in’ the price, so any additional stays will be the same regardless of whether our prices go up (and they will!) >> We always strive to give your paw-fect companion 5-Star care, as shown by our growing number of testimonials, and we would love to add you to the list! >> As well as the Rover Guarantee which you get as part of every booking, we are also fully insured personally with PetPlan Sanctuary >> We are also fully licenced with West Northamptonshire Council for Dog Boarding; we have been awarded a 4-star licence (No. 20 22 00 476. **** Please Note **** We are booking up quickly for 2023 (We have already taken bookings up to August!) so if you are planning to go away and need your loved one looked after then please get in touch sooner than later to avoid disappointment!

Absolutely fantastic! Aurora was so well taken of - it’s really a home away from home for her. Would always choose Sean every time!

Just picked our Frank up from over night stay with Sean and honestly I think Frank would have been happy to stay there instead of coming back with me lol this made me feel so happy as I know Sean has looked after our boy very well I new from the minute Frank meet Sean it was a great match 5 out of 5 and we will definitely be using Sean again. 😀Thank you 😊

Toby and Athena absolutely loved their stay with Sean and Becky. It was instant love all around! Sean kept me informed and sent photos so I was able to relax, knowing that they had settled and were happy. Very happy pups and mum!

*** We do our best to mimic your home life as much as possible. We will ask you many questions on feeding times, sleeping arrangements, how they like to play, how they walk, what they LOVE and equally... what they hate! If they sleep on the bed, so be it! If they aren't allowed on the furniture, that's fine too! If they are allowed everywhere, great! We will make sure to reinforce the behaviours you're happy your dog has. We would hate them to go home to you with brand new habits you're not happy with! We also take our doggy education very seriously. To date, Sean has taken and passed a Diploma in Canine First Aid, a Diplome in Dog Training, and an Ofqual Level 3 in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare. On top of this we have also added a new layer of security to our service at no extra cost to you. Not only will all dogs in our care wear a Hartwell Dog Boarding tag, as required by our licence, but they will also have a PitPatPet GPS tracker attached to their collar. This means not only can we track their daily activity levels, but it also means that if the worst happens and they manage to go exploring without us then we are able to track their location - taking the worry and stress out of a horrible situation! We haven't had to use it, but it certainly helps us sleep better at night knowing it is there!

Information Sean R. would like to know about your pet

Let us know if your furry family member has any special needs or special loves. Do they love a scratch behind the ear? Or playing with a certain toy? We are happy to accommodate. We are always happy to meeting your dog before hand to start building a trusting relationship with them.

A typical day

We are quite lucky in the village as we have a number of amazing walks we can take including around Salcey Forest, or up to the wind turbines or even just down to the local park - all depending on your dogs needs! We love to play and give a LOT of fuss if your dog welcomes it!
