Big dogs are cool-pullers welcome!

Pet care experience

Greetings- My experience having best friends around me goes back 25 years, and I would be happy to help you out buy taking care of your best friend. As the proud parent of a Great Dane, I have a particular love for large and giant-breed dogs. I like taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood, we do at least 2-3 miles a day regularly. Along the way I can't help but (very gently with no special equipment) leash train pullers, nothing is worse than being taken for a walk by your dog (especially the big ones) instead of the other way around. When I started the training with my dane I saw instant results on the next walk! If you are curious about my methods just ask, I can send you a link to videos that demonstrate them fully. My Southeast Portland home is convenient to I-205 and Max Green line. I have a fenced yard and dogs can play outside as long as they don't bark incessantly (in which case yard time is limited to 9 mins at a time as per Portland noise ordinances) I have a crate in our common area in the house large enough to accomodate most dogs. Generally speaking your dog would sleep overnight there, and puppies that lack enough home training would spend a little more time in the crate but still have plenty of "out" time too. Doggie beds welcome.

Information Sean B. would like to know about your pet

Prefer large dogs overall, but small dogs are fine too. Your dog should be good with dogs and kids (that are good with dogs) and ready to play with a giant crazy creampuff of a great dane. Things I need to know are- Is your dog housetrained? Please be honest, yes or no is fine but not knowing...ugh. Can/does your dog sleep in a crate? Any dog not house trained properly will be crated except while in the fenced yard or on a walk. NOTE: If you don't agree with then please use a different provider.

A typical day

Long walks with slack-leash training, around parks, playgrounds on sidewalks and paths. Only for dogs with permission from their parents- Chuckit, frisbee and dog parks for social happy dogs who can be good off-leash.
