Pet care experience
I've taken care of all sorts of pets most of my life, from pet hamsters, birds, fish, goats,geese,ducks ,llamas and alpacas, pet pigs, horses,dogs and plants. I am comfortable with senior pets and giving medications, if needed. I am mature, and reliable. I look forward to meeting your pet, and you too! I am a retired attorney at work on various writing projects. So my time is very flexible. I can take of your fur/feather/scaled baby like my own. I only take care of pets in their owners home. I ask a lot of questions and prefer written instructions. Basically, I try to keep whatever routines your pet is used to. I am happy to send photos to you while you are away.

Scott was a fantastic dog sitter! It was our first time working with him but it won’t be the last. Our two dogs fell in love with him. Scott texted us each day, often with photos of the dogs, to let us know that everything was going well. As pleased as we were with the dog sitting service, we were equally pleased with the respect that Scott had for our house and possessions. He left the house clean, picked up our mail and even had to do some light shoveling because of a snow storm. We feel fortunate to have found Scott and look forward to working with him for future trips.
overall great job no issues or concerns. Dogs got along well with Scott and all ended as expected.
Scott did a great job for us housesitting and taking care of our two dogs while we were gone for a week long vacation. Regular updates and pictures and you could certainly tell that he is an animal lover.
Scott was so helpful while I went on a trip! He sent lots of updates and photos. He kept them happy and safe with all the walks and attention. ?

At our meet and greet, I will ask the owner lots of questions and to the extent possible, I try to ask the dog(s) what they like or need from me. I usually get most of the info I need from the owner since most of the dogs don't talk!. I do ask that the owner put together written instructions, include such things as vet phone numbers ,feeding instructions, house alarm code, any special needs of the dog,and anything else the owner wants me to know.
A typical day
This kind of depends on the dog. I ask about what they enjoy when I do a meet and greet with the owner. From sitting on the couch, to tummy rubs to play tug of war, it all depend s on the dog and owner. It's about them!
