Summer Camp for Dogs!

Pet care experience

We built Summer Camp for Dogs. Because they deserve some fun while you're away! Read more below. :) I have had dogs my entire life. I was a foster dog parent, has taken care of over 50 little ones on short-term notice (with a few tears shed at goodbyes). Our family (me, my wife, and 11-year old daughter) recently lost our two furry friends and aren't yet ready to make a 10+ year commitment to caring for another one, but we love to have little cold wet noses in the house, so we'll be happy to welcome yours. I am also available to do training during their stay. Please let me know if there is anything you'd like me to work on, either continuing your work or beginning anew.

Scott and his family are very accepting of Kamali’i as their own family member. I really trust them that they have watched her twice ❤️🐾

Scott was so great with Kona and flexible with my schedule changes. He was patient, understanding, attentive, and informative of Kona’s time. He shared lots of pics, which made me feel at ease leaving Kona in his care. And he worked on some basic training with her. Scott and his family took such excellent care of her, couldn’t have asked for better.

Safety, trust & environment

If at my house, I am work-from-home so walks are frequent and lengthy (probably more for me than the pup). Also in the house are my wife (dog lover) and daughter (dog lover and animal whisperer) who will be there to add love and attention as your little one. I will only take one dog at a time in the home to ensure full attention, safety, and care. If you want me to care for your pet in your home, that is also fine. Again, I'm a tech founder on work-from-home life, so if you're comfortable with me bringing my laptop and using your wifi, I can spend the whole day with your furry friend. :)

Information Scott T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any rituals that they should be expecting. For example, before they eat, are they expected to sit, stay, and wait for a specific word? When they come home from a walk and need to get their harness off and feet cleaned, what's the process?

A typical day

Generally I will take them on two shorter potty walks, one longer socialization/exploration walk, and one long play session in one of the two dog parks at my building. The dog parks are usually empty and depending on what they like, we can do fetch or do tug-of-war or just lounge in the shade.

Summer Camp for Dogs Schedule: Sunday: Beach day!! We will go for a swim in the Magic Island Lagoon. Monday: Hiking. Get your dog-boots on because we're going to head up a mountain. Tuesday: Walk time! We're going to do some studying at home but after that, biiiiiiig walk! Wednesday: We need a break, so let's cuddle up on the couch, Pupflix and chill. A Dog's Purpose or Hachi? Thursday: Doggercise! Short dog-appropriate speed/pace run around the block. Friday: My work week is almost over and I'm done - what you feeling? Beach again? Ok I'm down! Saturday: Drive! Put your little dog face out the window and enjoy the breeze as we take a long drive to another part of the island. I am work-from-home, so literally any time is a good time and they'll get plenty of attention during the day. I have a consistent schedule and own my own company, so I get to take walk breaks whenever I want. :)
