Pet care experience
I've taken care taken care of pets for almost as long as I remember. My family always had multiple cats I was the 'big boy' in charge from when I was about 8. Outside of the house I was friends with a many dog owners and have experience around a variety of different breeds. I enjoy learning about the behavior of dogs and figuring out their personalities and how each dog is unique and requires its own specific care and attention.
Reviews
Our furry friends love Scott! His patience and gentle approach helps even our feisty orange guy warm up to the unfamiliar house guest. We have been genuinely delighted and surprised by how well our buddies have embraced their new friend. Thank you, Scott, for keeping our four-legged friends entertained and cared for while we’re away.
Scott did a great job caring for my cat. 😀
My kitten had such a good time at Scott’s place. He sent plenty of updates and pictures. Will absolutely contact again the next time we go out of time!
Scott is a great communicator! Every visit he gives pics and updates :-) I really appreciate it!

Safety, trust & environment
Making sure you pet is comfortable with me, and the environment if they are at my house, is my top priority. I know how much attention dogs can crave and making sure they receive that is very important to me. When at my home, the dog will be allowed to roam free (assuming you wish that to be the case) whenever I am home, which is most of the time. When I do need to leave for more than an hour or 2 they will be left alone, I prefer to put them in a crate, but I know how stressful and boring that can be for them, so that will be kept to a minimum whenever possible. When at your home, I can follow whatever rules you'd like. As much as I love dogs, I can still be adamant that they know the rules and continue to follow them without causing any harm.

Information Scott H. would like to know about your pet
A few things I'd find useful to know are: How outgoing is you cat/dog? Do I need to be careful about loud noises or fast movements? How energetic is your dog? What are your favorite things to do with your pet? How friendly are they towards strangers/other dogs on walks? What is their play style? (Rough, gentle, jumpy, etc.)
A typical day
Living on a cul-de-sac, there is plenty of sidewalk around to go for long or short walks! I love to be outside and enjoy the fresh air, especially in summer, and having a dog to walk gives me a great excuse to be out there more. I also love to play with the pets I sit whether that is playing fetch, bumping around some mice on the floor, or using a toy on a string with the kitties!

I currently live with my grandmother, her cat, a cat of my own and assortment of fish. Every morning feeding them all and making sure the cat has water is the first thing on my to-do list. I also work from home so I love to take breaks from work to play with the cat and relax with my fish. Basically, pet care is already a part of my routine and adding an extra pet will only extend the enjoyment!
