Dog lover and frequent sitter
Pet care experience
I grew up with a family dog for 15 years that I helped care for. I like to think I was his second favorite person, besides my mom of course! I frequently watch family members and friends dogs from all different sizes, including a 4 month stay at my house for my aunts dog Stella. I have sitted for 50+ different dogs on Rover since June of 2021 all coming in different shapes and sizes. All have been great to look after and they bring us joy every day they stay with us!
Reviews
My dog Elidee had a great time at Scott's house. I loved all the pictures of her walks and naps on the couch. I would definitely recommend/book again.
Our dogs loved Scott! I received photos and updates and they looked very cozy! The pups are excited to go back to Scott’s very soon.
Scott was great with my dog Chance! We were traveling and Scott was flexible with my timing and very responsive! 10/10 would book with him again!
An absolutely phenomenal job. My dog has a lot of anxiety especially with new people and this was his first time having to stay with someone else while I was gone and Scott did a wonderful job. He provided a relaxed and comfortable environment for Ford and sent me daily updates! Highly recommend I’ll definitely be thinking of him first next time I take a trip.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not own any pets. I have a backyard that is not fenced in, but I always have the dogs on a leash when they go out to make sure they do not run off. I like to play with the dogs inside whether it is playing tug-of-war or having them fetch a toy.

Information Scott H. would like to know about your pet
Outside of knowing the basic information hopefully already provided on the dogs profile, it is important to know how well the dog behaves when left alone if I were to leave the house for a few hours. If the dog doesn't behave well when alone, then I would ask the owner to bring over a kennel. It is also important to know if the dog likes to chew on anything left out on a coffee table or night stand. Knowing any other quirks is helpful!
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning walk to get the legs moving and to get some fresh air. I have a standard loop in the neighborhood that takes about 30 minutes with plenty of trees to be marked! After that is breakfast. During the week I will get started with work and the pups will usually hang out with me lounging on the guest bed. If a dog has a lot of energy or loves a lot of walks, then I will go on a mid-day walk. Once I finish with work in the evening it is dinner time! After dinner we will go on another walk, usually 45 minutes to sniff a little more and also to get a little more tired. Dogs that are smaller or don't need too many walks will just get a 20-30 minute walk instead. At night we will cuddle on the couch watching TV. The dogs will get plenty of bathroom breaks, treats, belly rubs and pets throughout the day. Play time is also throughout the day whenever the pups are in the mood!

I work full-time remote from home. I take a few breaks throughout the day, so I will have plenty of time for walks and playing with the pups! Any day and time of the week works for onboarding, house sitting and walks. I do not travel very often. My wife also works full-time remote from home so the pups will get plenty of love and attention!
