We’ve had family dogs all my life, from an Alsatian cross, to a Chihuahua to a Labrador Vizsla cross. I have lived in Manchester for nearly seven years and miss having a dog, so thought this was the best middle-ground rather than owning one myself. I walked dogs at the Manchester & Cheshire Dog’s Home in Harpurhey for two years and haven’t had as much time to help out at weekends, but enjoy meeting new dogs and spending time with them. Have been sitting for my friends in Manchester for a few years every now and then and only recently discovered Rover! Some of the pictures are my family dogs but also ones I used to walk for the shelter. The black Lab-Vizsla is our family dog, Bailey, the Chihuahua is Ralph and the Staffy is Hugo, both of which are my brother’s dogs (used to live with our family).
