Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Scotlyn. I recently moved to Portland from Denver, where I dog and cat sat for a few different families on an ongoing basis (references available upon request.) I am new to Rover, but am excited to meet your furry friends! I love going for walks and hanging out at the park, so I am happy to take your dog out as often as they would like. I have experience walking dogs, feeding and watching cats, administering medication to dogs and cats, taking in mail, watering plants, and running errands for owners. Feel free to let me know if there is anything I can help with around the house while caring for your pets! In my free time, I like hiking, skiing, cooking, running, reading, and doing crafts. I have a soft spot for elderly animals, but also love the fun energy of puppies/ kittens and the balance of mid-age pets :) I love animals and would love the opportunity to care for yours!

Unfortunately I can’t recommend Scotlyn. She was not on time, missed their feeding schedules, & took my pups out for 10 min despite clear instructions for longer 30 min walks. She sent pics only after I inquired how things were going & was very difficult to reach. I requested a full refund.
Scotlyn was wonderful and communicative while we were away. We will definitely have her house/dog sit again!
This Rover left broken glass all over our bathroom. Other more minor issues around the house. Dog water bowl left empty.

I typically watch pets in their own home's setting as most pets seem to be more comfortable this way. But I am open to discussing having your pet over to my house if that is preferred. I am also happy to do drop in visits and dog walking.

I like to know about your dog's general behavior/ temperament, whether they have a tendency to chew things, and whether they have separation anxiety or are used to being left alone for a couple hours at a time. It is also helpful to know how they interact with other dogs and how much exercise they like per day.
A typical day
I love going for walks around the neighborhood as well as going for hikes and walks along the river. If your dog loves to fetch, we can also go for walks to a park to throw the ball.
