Hey there, I'm Savannah, and I'm eager to be your go-to pet caretaker! 🌼😊 A little about me, I recently got married in June 2023. It was an unforgettable day that I wish I could replay over and over again. At home, it's me, my husband, and our dynamic duo of cats, Dobby and Pettigrew. They're my favorite guys to hang out with, shh, don't tell my husband! 🐱🐱 Back in 2015, I earned my Veterinary Technician degree at the Pittsburgh Veterinary Technical Institute and soon thereafter, dived headfirst into animal care at the Humane Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh, PA. Five fulfilling years flew by before I decided to make a career change into the corporate world, but I've carried the love and lessons from my shelter days every step of the way. Which brings me to why i'd love for you to consider me to help take care of your pets! Growing up amidst a variety of animals—dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, parrots, and more—and with the training and education I've received as a vet tech, you can rest assured that your pets will be in capable hands with me. Moreover, I'm experienced in administering various medications, including injections, oral meds, and ear medications, should the need arise. 1. Age 2. Are your pets vaccinated? Dogs: REQUIRED - Rabies Vaccine - (will need proof of vaccine status) *Dhpp & Bordetella vaccines - Highly recommended. **Leptospirosis and Lyme vaccines are optional but highly recommended. Not only because of the rise of Lyme's disease, but because if we we're to go on walks in wooded areas, the risk is higher for both of these diseases** Cats: REQUIRED - Rabies Vaccine - (will need proof of vaccine status) *FVRCP vaccine - Highly recommended. **FELV vaccine is not required, but I do require a negative test within one year if they are being boarded with me.** 3. Are they on any flea or tick medication? (Dogs and/or Cats) *Note: will require this if they are being boarded with me. 4. Is your dog/cat spayed or neutered? 5. Does your pet get along with other animals? Children? Etc. (*ANY information is helpful and appreciated, no matter how small or minor you think it may be!*) 6. What are some of your pets favorite things to do? Favorite treats? 7. Does your pet have any dietary restrictions? 8. Does your pet have any medical issues that I need to be made aware of? 9. I firmly believe that a tired dog is a happy dog! Regular walks are essential for maintaining both the mental and physical well-being of our furry friends. While I tend to steer clear of dog parks whenever possible, I recognize the value of socializing for dogs. Fortunately, I have friends and family with dogs who enjoy making new acquaintances, providing ample opportunities for socialization without relying solely on dog parks. For pets who prefer solitude or are more introverted, I'm flexible and can tailor activities to suit their preferences. Mental stimulation is equally vital for our animals. Activities like snuffle mats, lick mats, playing fetch, and engaging walks provide opportunities for pets to use all their senses while earning treats or rewards. These activities not only tire them out physically but also keep their minds sharp. I'm always open to learning about what your pets enjoy doing the most. Let me know their preferences, and we can incorporate those activities into our routine!
