Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Savannah! I’m a undergraduate student in the Charlottesville area looking to make a little money. I have a lot of experience working with both dogs and cats. For four years, I worked at my parent’s walk in veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant. I am capable of various medical and general care. I can properly dose medications if needed. Growing up with parents who are veterinarians taught me a lot about animal behaviors and properly caring for dogs and cats. I spent a lot of my childhood shadowing my parents at work. I have also house sat for numerous families with multiple dogs during my summers. I enjoyed spending quality time with their pets and taking their dogs on walks or playing catch with them at parks.

Savannah was awesome. She was prompt and extremely kind. She watched our 7 month puppy a few days after he got neutered and she took great care of him. We will definitely be reaching out to her if we need a pet sitter in the future!
Savannah has worked as a veterinary assistant in our small animal clinic over the last few years. She is well trained in companion animal care, careful, responsible and compassionate.
Savannah will do a loving and diligent job taking care of your furry family. She grew up around animals since both her parents are veterinarians. It was just natural that she started working in the family business as a veterinary assistant at 15 years old. Over this past summer she found herself pet/housesitting for coworkers and word got around! She is now in college and finds that she misses her 2 black labs and 2 cats. She would love to have the opportunity to make a little money and get her pet fix! She also has the added bonus of a close relationship with several veterinarians!

In my home here in Charlottesville, my family has a senior dog. We make sure our dog feels loved in their later years by making sure they get their daily walk, have plenty of time to lay in the sun, dosing medications that may alleviate any pain our dog has, and feeding it healthy foods that will all provide them the best quality of life. For your dog, I will be sure to consider any additional needs your dog may have such as medications, certain treatments, extra walks, or specific diets. I’d be more than happy to look after your pets!

I have no breed preferences but I would like to know if your pet has any medical conditions I should be aware of or if your pet has a history of aggression.
A typical day
I’d be happy to take dogs on walks, go to a dog park, or play fetch in a backyard. If you have a cat, I am happy to play with any toys they have and cuddle with them.

I am currently a full-time student and part-time employee at a local museum. I can house sit on the weekend when I am not working, and during the week I can walk dogs in the early morning before I have my classes!
