CEO of “Can I pet your dog?” 💕

Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Savannah! I’m new to Rover, but not new to pet care. In lieu of reviews I’m happy to provide references from current clients if needed. I have 3 dogs of my own, a 10 year old daughter who loves animals, and a great husband. We strive to be your pet(s) favorite people (aside from you, of course!) I worked as a veterinary technician in a busy clinic for several years, and currently foster dogs for Rescue Rovers. While I no longer work in the veterinary field, my training provides me with extra knowledge when it comes to providing the best animal care. I’m particularly familiar with food allergies, administering medications, basic training and most medical conditions. I genuinely love all living beings, and will treat your furry family member(s) as my own. Thank you for considering me to take care of your pet(s). I hope to be able to snuggle them soon!* ***Health and safety are my top priorities. Because of this, all pets that stay in my home are required to be up to date on their vaccines. I will need proof of vaccination prior to drop-off. This protects your pets, as well as my own. Boarding and daycare pups can be dropped off/picked up between the hours of 9am and 7pm. If you need accommodation outside of these hours, your booking is subject to additional fees which I will discuss with you prior to confirming. Thank you for understanding! 😊 ***

Savannah was amazing. Great communication and took extra good care of our dog. Was impressed she offered to give him some medicine when he had stomach issues. Will definitely book again!

Savannah has loved caring for dogs her whole life. When she was in grade school, she convinced us to foster dogs for two different organizations in Cache Valley. Of course, she wanted to keep them all (even though we already had four of our own)! But she was happy when each one found a forever home. In high school, she furthered her love of animals by taking and completing the 2-year pre-vet tech course at Bridgerland Technical College, earning her certificate and getting a job at a veterinarian's office. She currently has three dogs of her own and is joined in her dog addiction by her husband and daughter! She cares for each dog she fosters or watches temporarily and will do a great job with your pet.

Savannah is an incredible caregiver and is always our first choice when we have to head out of town and leave our dog Rosie! She is always very attentive and truly cares about Rosie when we drop her off. She sends frequent updates and is always going above and beyond. I would recommend Savannah to anyone needing care for their pet while they are out of town.

Savannah is by far the best out there when it comes to any animal really. She really is the animal whisperer. I was having trouble with my dog when it came to crate training and she really helped so much. My dog looks at her now like her second mom hahaha it brings me comfort to have someone love my dog as much as me and take the time to train her when I am working my busy schedule. We definitely will be life long clients 🩷

Safety, trust & environment

I know it’s incredibly difficult to trust a stranger with your loved ones. I want to make this experience as stress free as possible for you and your pets. Communication is key to be able to do this, so never hesitate to text or call me. I love to send pictures/video updates, and I stay on top of communication if questions/concerns arise (without being overwhelming.) As far as environment goes, adult dogs have full access to my home unless you request otherwise. For puppies, our home is puppy proof! On the first day we always take it easy to ensure they can fully decompress in a new space. Lots of belly rubs, toys, and cuddles are given daily. 😌

Home

Lives in a house

Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Savannah M. would like to know about your pet

If your pet has any unique needs, or goofy quirks, please let me know. If your pet is not fully potty trained, please tell me. I will not decline a booking because of this, just be honest. We can figure something out, same with crate training. If your pet has any behavioral concerns, especially aggression, please make me aware before booking to ensure the best possible experience for your furry friend. At drop off I just need their food and feeding schedule, meds with dosage (if applicable), their crate if they have one, a collar/leash, and an emergency contact. I will provide everything else such as: blankets, beds, toys, treats, puppy playpens, etc. And tons of hugs, of course.

A typical day

Each animal is different, much like us humans. Let me know what your pet likes/dislikes and I’ll do my very best to accommodate their preferences. I have a very large (fully fenced) back yard where my personal dogs love to play when it’s warm! We enjoy going on walks around the neighborhood, and hikes as well. During the winter months when it’s harder to get outside, we do a lot of mental stimulation such as puzzles, lick mats, and more. If your pet just wants to relax on the couch, we do plenty of that as well. At night, my dogs sleep in their crates and this is standard for all dogs I board as well, unless otherwise specified.

Services

Boarding
in the sitter's home
$35per night

Savannah can host

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs
No females in heat
Crate-trained dogs only
Takes only 1 client at a time

Availability

I never take more than one client at a time for bookings, which is rare for sitters. I do this because I know when I board my dogs I want them to be the main focus, and I want nothing less for your pet(s). My schedule is very open as I usually work from home. On the days I’m not home, I don’t take bookings and my calendar is regularly updated. You can rest assured that your family member(s) will rarely be alone, unless I have to run a few errands which is not common.
