(Just a few things about me) I have always loved and cared for dogs since I was a little girl. All my fur children have lived long healthy lives and have been spoiled rotten. I went to college to study the Criminal Justice system. It was here I got the opportunity to help with the start of the Arkansas Paws in Prison Program. If you haven't heard about this program it is pretty amazing. Revolutionary if you will. The concept is to help dogs on death row and inmates. These dogs are picked from kill shelters and given a second chance at life. These dogs live and train with a specific and carefully chosen inmate. They live and train for six weeks then are put up for adoption. It changes the lives for both dog and inmate. I worked for years with Arkansas Paws in Prison program..later becoming an adviser over the well being and training of these dogs. I've done everything from transportation, buying the dog supplies, selecting the right person for a dog, and checking to make sure the dogs and inmates were on track for success. I did move on to work in criminal justice but still volunteer for paws in prison. Soon I hope to open my own kennel and doggie boutique and hopefully be able to offer portions to go towards an animal related rescue. I live a busy life but as I said I want to open my own shop. Nothing makes me more happy than spending time with my furkids. Even though I am busy, I feel like this would be a great opportunity to build a wider known reputation. Also, I want to start putting back so I can open this business. As of now I go back and forth from North Little Rock/ Sherwood area to Conway area. I am willing to walk, stay over, or do potty breaks for your loved one. Anything in those areas or between is best for me, but I can make exceptions depending on the matter. My husband James might also help me from time to time. He also works for the Criminal Justice System. I stress this being a part of our lives because we've both had the most strict of background checks and interviews. I know it can be scary to let someone in your home and around a beloved family member. So if anything.. I hope that gives a small piece of mind.
