Savannah took excellent care of our nervous dog, Dixie, while we were away. I admit we were hesitant to book Savannah because she had no reviews listed yet. Before our long vacation of 10 days, we set up a meet and greet and a walk. Savannah is the first person EVER our dog has met for the first time and did not start barking- we knew it was a good sign! Savannah had experience working at a local doggy daycare - actually, the same one we have used several times for vacations - which is an added bonus. Savannah was responsive via messages while we were away which put our mind at ease. Like most dogs, Dixie has some quirks. For example, Dixie is a social eater and will sometimes not eat her food until everyone in the room is settled. Also, Dixie sometimes does well with other dogs but she really prefers to be alone with human companions. So, these quirks can make it difficult for us to find a business or sitter we feel comfortable leaving her with for long periods of time. This was our first time using a sitter that stayed in our home - after trying different options we thought this set-up would less distressing for her. It was great! Savannah followed our care instructions to the letter and we never felt uncomfortable with her in our home or with how she cared for Dixie. We arrived home to our house just as we had left it and (bonus!) no need to pick up our dog, who seemed very at-ease upon us coming home. We didn't have Savannah send us pictures or video of Dixie, because we have in-home cameras that allowed us to monitor her (we made Savannah aware of the locations of the cameras and that we'd be checking in, which she was fine with). Overall we had a good experience with Savannah, and we'll definitely be booking with her again.
