Born and raised in a dog-loving family, I have never known a time in my life where I did not have at least one dog in my care. I have been involved in all aspects of pet care since a very young age, and as I grew up I continued to refine my skills and passion for dogs into a career. I have volunteered with various animal rescues throughout the years--everything from fostering litters of puppies to even training horses to prepare them for adoption. I have worked professionally (paid position rather than volunteer work) in the animal welfare industry for over 5 years and have gained extensive experience in the care of shelter animals and animal shelter management. I have extensive experience in medication administration, vaccine and subcutaneous fluid administration, bottle feeding, enrichment, and canine behavior in addition to basic care. Throughout my professional career, I have completed many continuing education classes and have been Fear Free Certified. I strive to treat all animals with respect and love in all areas of care. While dogs are my true passion, I also have the ability to take care of other small and large animals. Throughout high school, I worked as a horseback riding instructor as well as a horse trainer, and I have four horses of my own. I have experience caring for cats and kittens, farm animals, fish, and other small animals. I also own a natural dog treat bakery that I operate online and through vendor markets.
