Active, safe, friendly sitter

Pet care experience

I’ve been a pet parent for 8 years to two cats and a dog for 3. I grew up taking care of dogs and cats. We have a safe and fun house for dogs with a built-in dog companion and a fenced yard. Your dog will have the opportunity to go to a dog park, take walks, and go for a hike, depending on their energy level and your comfort level. When house sitting, I am reliable, respectful, and dedicated to taking care of your pets and house.

Savannah stayed in our home for a week. See was wonderful with our 10 month old, highly energetic puppy. She sent several pictures each day and checked with us about taking him on a short hike before doing so. Oscar was so upset when she left and kept searching the house for her!?. This was the first time we had left him overnight. Clearly he was very happy with her!

Savannah did a wonderful job caring for my large pit-mix, Brad, for 3 days/nights while staying at my home. I received daily updates and came back to a happy, healthy dog and a clean home. I’ll reach out to Savannah for future trips.

Savannah did an amazing job caring for Truman for the whole day! Her dog even helped him finally get the hang of walking on a leash (I guess he’s a visual learner!). Great communication and great care - will certainly be booking with her again!

Savannah took my parents' dog Elsa at her home for several hours while we hosted a large event. She was flexible and a great communicator, and had a very cute mini Aussie that I'm sure kept Elsa on her toes :) Thanks Savannah!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a friendly mini australian shepherd who gets along with all dogs. My two cats prefer to avoid dogs and do not scratch or attack dogs. We have a fenced, large backyard and a dog door. Our residential neighborhood is great for walks, and we’re close to several dog parks.

Information Savannah D. would like to know about your pet

I like to ask the following questions: -Do they have any aggression triggers? -Is there anything I should know about how they are on a leash? (No judgment.) -Do they sleep in your bed or in their crate? -Are you comfortable with them having access to the dog door to the fenced yard? -Are you comfortable with them riding in the car; going to a dog park; going for a hike? -How do they do on stairs? -Do they have any allergies or dietary sensitivities? -Are there any behaviors you're trying to instill in them, like not jumping on furniture?

A typical day

The level of activity is geared toward your dog's activity level. As appropriate, and depending on what you're okay with, we'll go for a walk, to a dog park, or on a hike nearby. We'll also take breaks in the backyard for fetch.
