Pet care experience
I have over 10 years of experience in animal care, and am excited to meet you and your pet! I am currently a dog trainer at a day program in the area, have worked in several boarding kennels, and have been pet sitting professionally for a decade. I am also a foster for a local rescue and am experienced with dogs with a variety of behavior concerns, including leash reactivity and timidness. I take pride in having made friends with even the shyest and most skeptical cats and dogs I've encountered. **Walks and Drop Ins** I am available and flexible to come check in on your pet or take your dog for a walk when you're away! Safety is my number one priority when spending time with your animal. I always walk dogs with a backup sliplead in addition to their normal collar or harness (with owner permission) in case of emergency. For cats, please inform me if your kitty is an escape artist! I am happy to scoop litter, play, feed, and snuggle - whatever your cat would like. If weather is too cold or wet for your pup, we can spend time indoors playing tug or doing enrichment activities! **House Sitting** Having your pet stay at home while you're away is a great option for keeping them calm and safe in their own environment. We will work together to figure out your pets' specific needs and tailor a schedule to best suit them. Don't worry, you'll get lots of updates and pictures to see what your cat or dog is up to while you're away! Most typical house sitting includes overnights in your home, but if preferred I am also able sleep at my own home and provide daytime care according to your individual needs. We will always discuss and figure out a plan at the meet and greet! I am happy to provide additional home care like watering plants and bringing in mail, but I am unable to provide snow removal assistance at this time.

Savannah was a wonderful and considerate companion to our three dogs. It was our first experience with Rover and having someone besides friends or family stay with the dogs. We had to book last minute and met up with Savannah in advance and did a walk as well to get more familiar. She stayed for a few nights in our house and sent great daily updates and photos. We could truly tell the dogs stayed on their routine and were cared for as they were all in good spirits and relaxed when we got back. Would highly recommend Savannah!
We are so grateful for the absolutely wonderful care Savannah and Ave provided for our two dogs while we were away. This was the second time our dogs stayed with them, for longer stays, and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing they were in good hands. Our anxious dog can take a long time to warm up to strangers and can be difficult but Savannah and Ave were prepared and remembered how they handled her during the last stay. It seems she warmed up quicker this time and she ate well so we know she was made as comfortable as possible. Our other, more rambunctious dog had fun playing with Roo and got lots of exercise. Savannah and Ave sent photos and regular updates to give us additional peace of mind and let us know how things were going. We appreciate them so much and would without a doubt board our dogs with them next time!
Cant thank you enough for taking great care of Rosie while we were away. It’s so nice to know that she is safe and having fun and I feel so much better leaving her with you at your house over a kennel! Thank you!

I need to know if your dog is a "runner" or will try to escape from doors or fences. Please let me know if your dog has any behavior concerns so that I can be aware in advance to make our time together the best and safest that it can be!
A typical day
Let me know what your dog likes to do! We can go on walks around the neighborhood, go on a hike, or play fetch in the yard. If your dog is working on any kind of training, let me know so that I can help them be consistent and not lose any of your hard work! During the cold months, we have tons of enrichment activities we can do inside together to meet your dogs mental and physical needs.

Availability
***Policies*** - Behavior concerns, within reason, are fine! I am experienced with a variety of behavior concerns including reactivity, resource guarding, and anxiety. I just need you to inform me of what they are PRIOR to booking so that I can make your pup's stay as safe and fun as possible for everyone. If your dog is fear aggressive to people entering the home, I will require that they be restrained in some way away from the door in a kennel or gated area so I can safely enter the home, and may suggest we book some walks prior to the stay to make sure your pup knows and is comfortable with me - Dogs must be comfortable being left for 4-5 hours alone. While I work mostly remotely, I have a few work shifts outside of the home where dogs must be comfortable being home alone without me. -I expect that your dog is current on core vaccines like rabies and distemper, and current on flea and tick medication. I am unable to care for animals/homes with fleas, and unable to stay overnight in excessively dirty/unclean homes.
