Your dog’s new best friend!

Pet care experience

I currently work at a doggy daycare and have been working there for the past three years. I have a certificate in pet first aid and CPR, and I’m a qualified dog-lover! Even before my employment, I have had years of experience dog-sitting for people in my neighborhood. (Since before I could drive.) But my job has allowed me to learn difficult medication schedules, puppy care, senior dog care, and how to work with dogs as little as yorkies to as large as great danes.

Savanna is a loving and compassionate person, especially when it comes to animals. She has the utmost patience with puppies and knows how to read dogs better than anyone else I've ever seen. Even when bitten by dogs or scratched by cats, she's kept her cool several times, and has plenty of experience working with dogs, as she has previously worked in a doggy-daycare environment and is around dogs all the time! If you are looking for someone to really take care of your dog or cat and ensure that they are properly cared for, she is the one. She also loves taking photos of animals, so, you will definitely be kept in the loop with your pet and get plenty of cute photos along the way!

Savanna watched our two dogs and two rats for a week while we were out of the country and I never worried about how they were doing since they weren't stuck in a boarding facility. I was sent timely updates about how my babies were doing and when we got back, the dogs and rats were happy and obviously well cared for. She is my go-to pet sitter here on out!

My dogs are house-trained and fed twice a day during breakfast and dinner. However, when dogsitting I have been given crazy schedules to work with— so don’t feel bad if you think have a lot! My dogs aren’t crates at night and typically prefer to sleep in bed with me, but I understand and value the importance of crating. I don’t mind going on walks, either! My german shepherd goes everywhere with me, so please let me know if your dog enjoys going out. (Downtown, hiking, or just a walk in the park.)

Information Savanna Z. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know ahead of time if your pet has a strict schedule, especially if they are medicated. Your pet’s health is my #1 top priority— it is important to me that I know absolutely everything about your pet before they fall into my care! This is especially important with even the littlest of things— like slow feeders.

A typical day

From working at a dog daycare, I’ve learned how important it is to properly provide stimulation for dogs— and cats! I know the importance of letting your dog sniff on walks, and would love to take anyone’s pooch out for a fun day at the park! I’m also keen on enrichment toys if that’s something your pet would enjoy. I do not mind bringing some of my own to provide your pup(s) with!

If I’m not taking care of dogs at work, then I am at home with my own babies. I have two dogs and two cats, and my entire world revolves around them! I work best off of routine, and I will admit that I get a little flabbergasted when I don’t have a good schedule.
