My primary experience with dogs comes from taking care of my own 13-year-old rescue puppy (yes, she will always be a puppy to me) named Zina. She is a border collie/black lab mix and even at her advanced age she still likes to go on walks ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours, which I oblige in temperatures ranging below 0 to the 90s--bringing water for her or foot warmers for me, depending on the weather. Sometimes she needs help up stairs, and I have no problem carrying her 45 lb self up or down. I have also had experience house sitting and cat sitting for family, friends, and neighbors while they are away for weekend trips. I am completely comfortable taking care of more than just pet-related needs during my stay watching your favorite family member while you are away. On weekends I am generally free to spend the entire time with your pet to make sure they are happy, well-loved, and getting enough activity. My own dog doesn't play fetch, so I consider it a novelty to find dogs who fetch well, and I'm generally just about as happy to play as they are!
