Pet care experience
I’ve had everything from rats to cats to dogs since I was six years old. I’ve done pet sitting, dog and cat behavior modification. My time feels better spent with an animal, especially if I can enhance their lives. My plan was to be a dog trainer, but I sustained an injury that prevents be from walking dogs over 20lbs. I love to pet sit larger dogs and can play with them but will be unable to walk them. I can assist with training (or behavior correction) just ask!

Savanna J was excellent with our Ollie. She & Ollie hit it off first thing upon meeting. First day of stay was a little rough because Ollie is SO spoiled, but got better and I would expect will be improving each visit.

It’s also important to create a positive experience with the animal and build a connection. I believe the way to almost anyone’s heart is food and play.

Most important thing to know about a pet is medications, and diet or if they have any behaviors that could cause harm to themselves or other animals. I am use to working with reactive or people aggressive animals but it’s always good to have a heads up.
A typical day
With any animal I like to make playing a priority. With cats that’s laser pointer or wand toys, dogs that’s fetch or walking. Another good way to bond is to teach tricks like high fives or rolling over. When they’re finally exhausted, lots and lots of pets is a must.
