Pet care experience
I have done work with dogs at a doggie daycare and boarding. There I provided care for about 30 dogs at a time. I fed, bathed, and made sure the dogs were comfortable for their stay with us. I am med, first aid, and CPR certified and love all types of dogs. I also have volunteered at the humane society for 5 years. I have had many dog-sitting friends in my time as a dog sitter, and am always looking to make new friends. I have two dogs of my own, a springer spaniel and a rat terrier. Dogs are my life. Since I only provide care at my clients home, I take the utmost care to ensure the home I’m staying in is also cared for. I enjoy being able to care for animals in their own environment because it keeps consistency in their routines and takes away the anxiety of being away for them. I’m happy to follow the same routines they normally do when their parents are home with them and try to give extra love to let them know they are in good hands. I love sending photo updates to keep everyone in the loop.

The most important thing for me to know is if your dog has any special needs or just needs extra love while I'm with them. I love knowing if they react to different things I.e. bikes or cars on walks or if they are escape artists. It’s also good to know where they feel the most comfortable sleeping at night.
A typical day
Depending on the needs on my pet clients, I’m happy to go for walks, play outside, take naps, set up puzzles, brush them, and practice any tricks they may want to show off!

Availability
I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule with the option to work remotely. I am grateful that I can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of my pet clients and have no issue with planning ahead for the needs of the stay. I enjoy walks even in the winter and tend to be a home body.
