Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my whole life. From fish to horses, and anything in between, animals have always had a place with me. In my middle school years, neighbors and friends often reached out to ask my to watch their pets. This led to me delivering puppies (and resuscitating one), wrapping equine injuries, and teaching more tricks than I can count. I frequently bring home injured/stray animals, much to the dismay of my boyfriend. I was at the top of my Pre-Vet class in school and it was easily my favorite class. My love for animals and knowledge of animal health make me a superior option in pet care of any kind. I promise to go out of my way to give you and your pet(s) the most comfortable experience possible in the time that you’re apart! Sending love to you and your trusty sidekick!

Depending on what resources you provide me with, I can take your pets on leashed walks outdoors, or I can let them roam in your fenced yard. If you’re comfortable, I’m also alright with indoor play. In the event of any accidents, I’ll communicate that immediately and clean it up as well. I’m big on communicating any concerns and aim to make sure your pets are as loved and taken care of as I love and care of mine.

Please let me know if your pet has separation anxiety and how I can help ease that! Also, if your dog has any allergies to any food or treats (chicken, etc), please let me know. We wanna keep them happy and healthy, ya know? :) I’ve administered insulin to a cat many times before, so I’m happy to care for pets with medical needs that require injections. If it’s new to me, I’d be so glad to learn! I have dreams of becoming a vet, so I’d eagerly be taught anything I can about those things. If your pet has any triggers that cause them to be upset or agressive (men, thunder, raising my hand, being touched on a certain part of their body), I'd also appreciate knowing, not only for my safety, but also so your pet can feel safe and loved.
A typical day
I love going on walks with pups! I grew up with a dog that pulled on the leash with what felt like 300 horsepower, so big dogs with lots of energy are no problem for me. I play a mean game of tug-of-war and will gladly throw a tennis ball again and again (and again and again). For a special treat, I love making pupsicles (please notify me of any dietary allergies) to cool off.

Availability
At the time, my schedule is mostly open. I work part-time, but my employer allows me to make arrangements that allow me to align my work schedule and my Rover schedule very smoothly. My availability is quite flexible, but to ensure that we can get everything worked out to best match your schedule as well, the sooner you can let me know about your needs, the better. Knowing a month ahead of time is ideal and will increase my ability to accept your house sitting booking. Shorter events, like walking, are things I can sneak in pretty short notice, but something that may demand more time is always best to have a heads-up on. However, I still encourage you to reach out for short-notice things. Although I can’t guarantee anything, I understand that things happen and will do my best to accommodate!
