Pet care experience

I'm a loving dog person. I listen to the animals and hear their true wants and needs. They're very intelligent creatures. I am respectful to the owners request when it comes to their babies. I strive to make sure my clients and their four legged friends are treated like royalty. It is in everyone's best interest to know before hand I get attached in a way that is beneficial for dogs and owners. I treat them like they're my own babies. I love all kinds of species and breeds. Big, small, medium, calm or aggressive. My friends call me the Dog whisperer. Its all love energy. I LOVE DOGS. I cant stress that enough. Exercise, healthy eating, baths, teeth brushing, play and compliments along with structure. These dogs go back home as if they never left!

Communication was fine leading up to the day Sasha was scheduled to give my dog her pills while I was at work. She was throrough and asked questions so I felt she would be reliable. An hour after Sasha is scheduled to drop in on my dog, I message for an update and receive no response. After the first hour of radio silence, I reach out again to no avail. 45 minutes later, I send another message asking for an update and now I’m getting worried. I call the number that I have been texting with her on and each time I call it says “Call rejected” and now I’m REALLY worried. I have my mom and boyfriend call but they get forwarded to a rover voicemail that does not recognize the number they are trying to call. I’m wondering why only my number is blocked. I contact Rover and end up having to rush out of work in the middle of the day out of fear that 1. my dog has not receieved her pill and will have seizures while no one is around and 2. that I’ve left an untrustworthy stranger who won’t pick up the phone with access to my house. I arrive home to find that Sasha has in fact come by to administer my dogs pill and everything is in order. Now I’m just pissed that I’ve wasted my time and money by leaving work to take a cab from lower Manhattan to the Bronx. I leave a note for Sasha to call me immediately when she returns to give my dog her second pill of the day. I finally receive a call 4.5 hours after my original message on the app. She says, “I’m sorry my phone must have been on silent...” which is weird because then why were my calls being rejected? Also, how did you get directions to my house without looking at your phone once? Anyway, she apologizes some more and I already have her scheduled for a second day so I give her a shot because I don’t want to deal with finding another person or tying up more money in the app. She promises this won’t happen again, and I thought okay, well AT LEAST she did give my dog her pills like she was supposed to. The morning of Day 2 comes and I get a message from Sasha at 7:30am. She says that she “may have an appointment” she forgot about. She has no idea what time it’s for or if it’s even scheduled for that day. She can’t confirm anything for over an hour and a half. I finally get a message from her that her appointment is for 10:30am, which means now she is not available give my dog her pill at 11am. I’m unable to find someone to cover on such short notice, so I have to LEAVE WORK AGAIN, to head uptown and give my dog her pill. She offers to take my dog out of the house and with her to her appointment and I decline because again, she’s is a stranger, and my dog is in poor health and does not travel well. She tries to push for me to let her bring my dog to her appointment and gets defensive, telling me that I’m paranoid and that what happened the day before was not her fault. I remind her that she is a stranger whose phone is rejecting my calls that I’ve left with keys and access to my dogs and everything I own - of course I’m going to assume the worst. That’s not paranoia and she is definitely at fault, to which she agrees. She offers to come by after her appointment to give my dog her second pill of the day and I obviously say no because at this point Sasha is 0 for 2 and who in their right mind would want to go through this again. I decided to cancel the whole reservation and take the rest of the day off since I already had to go uptown for 11am and couldn’t find anyone to give my dog a second pill at 3pm. Overall, I would absolutely not recommend Sasha to anyone. She’s unreliable and she had me doing damage control for two days. The task was simple and she managed to make it a mess from start to finish.

Sasha was amazing! My boyfriend and I were going through a rough time finding an apartment that would allow dogs and could no longer keep our dog with us. We needed someone in a hurry. Sasha was available immediately and took our dog in. Our pup was suffering from allergies at the time and we couldn't even take care of her. Sasha did her own research and gave her an oatmeal bath and fed her fish oil to help alleviate her allergy. She kept us up to date with her progress and we are forever grateful. Sasha showed extreme support and concern for our situation just like a friend, and told us we'd get through it. We are happy to have found a sitter like her and will be using her for sitting during vacation in the future. She was just who we needed at the time.

Macho had an great stay with Sasha. When I went to get him he was in great spirits. She sent me pictures and replied to all my concerns and thoughts. I missed Macho so much so it was nice that she updated me on my best friend. Although it was a little difficult she accommodated me when I wanted to get him earlier (after 1am). I recommend Sasha!
