My priority is your pets well-being

Pet care experience

*update* I am regularly booked between 8:30-4:00 PM on Monday through Friday. Some days I may have availability so feel free to reach out if you are flexible on timing. Hi my name is Sarit. I’ve been in love with animals since before anyone I know can remember. I grew up riding horses and spent time around animals whenever I had a chance. I’ve previously worked in small and large animal vet clinics, but now enjoy working with animals outside of a veterinary clinic. I am enrolled in an asynchronous college to get my vet tech license and expand my knowledge in pet care and wellness. I have an interest in animal behavior and always want the fur babies to feel happy and safe. I’ve been on Rover for about 6 months and offer dog walking and pet sitting. I also have prior experience of pet sitting and dog walking for friends and family. I am comfortable bathing, feeding, administering medications and supplements, and going on short or long walks. I have experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, and always make sure they feel safe when I am around. When you allow me to get to know your fur baby they will always be apart of my family no matter what.

Safety, trust & environment

As of right now I do not offer boarding services, but I am available for house sitting. When out and about, dogs will never be unleashed unless we’ve discussed it and once your pet and I have bonded for some time. For your pet’s safety, I almost always have a treat pouch around my waist and prefer to attach the leashes to it to provide an extra safety if a pet pulls suddenly to prevent them from running away. I always want your pet to feel comfortable and I will follow any regular routines or special instructions given.

Information Sarit M. would like to know about your pet

Before our bookings, please let me know of the following if they apply; - Do they have any food restrictions? - Do they wear a collar or harness? Anything I should bring or put on for the walk such as a muzzle or a water bottle? - Are they nervous or reactive around dogs or people? - Do they have any medical conditions I should know about? - How are they usually like at home and with strangers in their home? - Anything else you think may be important. I am always open to doing a meet and greet where we schedule a time for me to drop by, get to know you and your pet, and for you to show me everything is before our visit. If our schedules don’t align, I am also comfortable with written instructions. I will also always be reachable during walks and will reach out to you if I come across any urgent concerns.

A typical day

On a typical day when I arrive, your pet will either already have a collar/harness on, or if they keep it off at home I’ll put on the collar/harness you provided and head out on our walk. We will go around the neighborhood either to a park, or along a safe street away from heavy traffic. We will always avoid other dogs for your pet’s safety. On walks, to the best of my ability will always keep an eye on the ground for dogs who like to grab trash or snacks off the street. I also avoid using the public pet fountains, so if you think for pet will need water brought the walk, please let me know in advance so I can bring a bottle and an on-the-go bowl. After our walk leashes and harnesses will be put back in their place and I will top off their water bowls. Please let me know in advanced if your pet has any paw/body wipes or any special instructions for after walks. Before heading out if I have extra time, I love spending time giving your pet all the extra cuddles and playtime. For Drop In Visits, First I will check on your pet and make sure they are happy and healthy. I’ll then move on to any tasks or chores such as cleaning litterboxes, replacing puppy pads, filling food and water, etc. The rest of our visit will either be a short walk or at home playtime depending on your preference. For House sitting, before the booking we will discuss your pets regular schedule and find a good schedule that works for you and my other bookings. I also love photography and used to professionally photograph horses, dogs and occasionally portraits for people, so I will always try to get as many pictures as I can for your Rover Card. I will also write up a detailed summary of how our visit went.
