I have been rescuing and caring for animals since I was a child, then started volunteering and working in animal rescue so I can be around animals everyday and do what I love! For the past 5 years I have been doing behavioral work and training, including training service dog tasks. I'm constantly aware and conscious of a dog or cats mental state and listening to them, ensuring they feel calm and can have fun! I only use positive reinforcement and incorporate that mentality into everything I do with your pet- whether on a walk or play time. I have a lot of experience caring for special needs animals and seniors, including giving meds of all kinds.

Saralyn is a lifesaver. One of our guests for Thanksgiving, whom we definitely wanted to attend our party, couldn’t be around dogs. Saralyn was kind enough to open her heart and home to care for our pooch for the holiday and evening. Our big boy came home happy and tired, which matched our mood at the end of a long day prepping and partying, with our extended family. I like to follow a pets home routine so they feel comfortable, and I incorporate that with my 'safety' rules- like no rushing out doors, so your pet knows what to expect. I have separate, quiet areas and common areas in my home so that they can be cozy in their own bed and social if they'd like to cuddle on the couch or play. I have a large very friendly and well socialized dog who loves to play with dogs of all sizes and she adores kittens!

A typical day
Fun activities generally include a long walk or hike daily, treat toys, and playtimes throughout the day depending on energy level. I love doing nose work games with dogs and also teaching them to play hiding seek. Close to my house is a beautiful park with a walking track and path, and my neighborhood is very safe to walk in with sidewalks and friendly neighbors. I try to relax outside during sunset each night so the dogs can play and enjoy the cooler air.
