Lets go outside!
Pet care experience
I have had both cats and dogs my whole life. My family has always been the home that would foster puppies from a local rescue, and that strays would find their way to our front porch. I currently have a husky lab mix named Will that requires a lot of daily training to help him be a more well rounded dog. I have spent that better part of the year working with a trainer, as my dog is a huge part of my life. I am a better dog parent because of him. I am also already accustomed to long dog walks as we take our dog on walks three times a day. Our previous dog, Toby, who passed away last year from severe dog dementia. We adopted him later in his life from a shelter and we had 6 amazing years with him. There were also mobile issues which my partner and I would take shifts on taking care of him each day along with weekly laser treatments at the vet. It was a full time job and a learning experience. This was a big part of why training our new dog is so important to us, we want his mind and body to be healthy as he ages. I am overall a huge pet lover and would love to help any dog get outside more!

I will work with you. I understand it might be scary for a dog to meet a new person in their home. If they have a favorite toy, a favorite walk or treat I would be more than happy to take some extra time to play to help them feel more comfortable. If you have a fenced in yard, I would also be happy to let the dog let off some steam with some playtime.
Information Sarah W. would like to know about your pet
Any behaviors that I may run into would be helpful to know beforehand. Some examples would be: How are they when new people enter your home? Are they territorial/protective of their toys/food? Any specific needs, requests or food allergies/sensitivities?
A typical day
I have multiple loops in Woodland Park I go on. Any from 1 mile to 4 miles. I also frequent Memorial Park which is such a great place for a doggy! I like to look on the map and take side roads to make one big loop. I love exploring new areas and creating new walks.
