My entire life I've been surrounded and exposed to all kinds of animals. I've taken care of horses, chickens, exotic birds (from small to large parrots), rabbits, dogs, cats, goats and sheep. When I was in college, I helped train young horses and one of my special projects was taming a wild mustang. I have a huge love for animals as you can probably tell. I'm a dedicated hard worker and take pride in what I do and will treat your pup as my own. I currently live in a dog friendly neighborhood and have multiple parks with dog parks a very short distance away from me if they ever want to go out and play with other dogs, or we can take a nice long walk around the area, there's lots of space! I would be more than happy to watch your dog(s) overnight or for an extended period of time if you are going on vacation as well. Whether it's an overnight trip that you're taking or an overdue family vacation your dog(s) will be happy and safe with me. I do not currently own any other animals at the moment. Your furry friend will be treated with love, care and lots of playtime during their home away from home. I always keep active logs on how they are doing or what they are up to so that you can look back and read up on how their stay was. Pictures are always guaranteed, and can send you them as often as you would like! I look forward to connecting with you and meeting your 4 legged companions! I grew up in a family full of animals and had my first dog at the age of 3. I have been around my family pets and would often go over my aunts and sisters houses begging to spend time and walk their dogs. I worked in a veterinarians office where I watched over the dogs in the kennel. I fed, walked, bathed and played with them during their stay. I was also a member of the Rutgers University Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Club for and shortly after that I became involved with the horses on campus. I currently sit for a 2 lovable golden retrievers during the holidays or while they are away on vacation. I love being around dogs and being just as playful as them. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I was a young child. I had my first dog when I was 3 and she was a sweet dachshund and we got a Shih Tzu mix in 2008. A lot of my family members were dog owners so I would often go over to take their dogs for walks. I also worked in a veterinarians office for a year working in their kennel with all different breeds of dogs from small Shih Tzus to Great Danes. I would walk them, feed them, play and bathe them daily. About my yard I live in a big home so there is not a fenced in yard, but instead of beautiful dog friendly neighborhood full of walking paths, ponds and lots of green grass. I live very close to Mercer County Park and often take my dog clients there when we want to have a nice game of fetch and socialize. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication. Growing up with a horse and working with them on the farm it gives you experience working with animals that do not like taking their medication.
