WFH with training experience!

Pet care experience

As a lifelong dog lover who is currently without a dog, I would be thrilled to look after yours! I have previous experience training service dogs as a part-time volunteer puppy raiser, so am very familiar with canine behavior and positive reinforcement training. If you are working on skills such as loose leash walking or basic obedience, I can continue that training with your pup. PLEASE NOTE: Due to insurance reasons, I unfortunately cannot accept Akitas, American Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Mastiffs, Pit Bull Terriers, Presa Canarios, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or any mix of these breeds.

Sarah is wonderful! She was lovely, responsible, and fabulous with our pup who stayed with her for a whole week, and she was perfect in her communication with me. Our dog can sometimes be a little difficult on leash, and she managed him beautifully. She really helped me feel comfortable while away, in not needing to worry at all about my dog. She was also incredibly flexible as it was better for me to drop him off a day earlier than initially planned. I fully and completely recommend Sarah (though I don't really want to because I know she'll become hard to book!).

Sarah was fantastic with Odie! She reinforced all of our training (no jumping, etc.), sent regular updates, and handled Odie's complicated feeding like a pro! Odie was so content at Sarah's place, he wasn't sure he wanted to leave! I highly reocmmned Sarah for dog sitting.

She was very sweet and communicative throughout the day. She also sent tons of updates and pictures, which I greatly appreciated!

Sarah was incredible. A total professional with a clear natural way with dogs - Zazu absolutely loved her. I had so much confidence that Zazu was treated like a little prince and so, so well taken care of. Amazing communication over the time I was away too, I'd recommend her to anyone. I'll most certainly be requesting Sarah's services again!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety is my top priority. They will always be supervised, and leashed when outside on walks. I send daily updates, including photos and videos, so you can rest assured that your dog is well looked after and having a great time! I live in a 2-bedroom apartment (bottom floor of a 3-story home) on a quiet street. It has a small, fenced backyard. My home environment is calm and relaxed, great for a low to medium energy dog.

Information Sarah S. would like to know about your pet

As a starting point, please let me know if your dog has any special needs (medications, etc.), or if they have any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, or reactivity. Please also tell me a little about their daily routine and exercise needs. My only request is that dogs staying longer than eight hours are crate trained and can be crated for short periods (or can be leashed and calm around small animals), as I have a medium-sized parrot who needs some out-and-about time as well.

A typical day

We will go on plenty of walks throughout the day, so your dog can smell all the smells and get their morning, afternoon, and evening news. Maybe we'll play some fetch or do some fun training games, if they’re into that kind of thing. I absolutely love teaching dogs new tricks and playing games that get them thinking! A typical day would be tailored to the individual dog, so let's schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand so I can learn more about you, your dog, and what they like to do.
