Pet care experience
Have lived with and loved dogs all my life; Labs & German Shepherds growing up in England and loved raising & training my own Kerry Blues when the kids were young in the Hudson Valley. Sadly we had to say goodbye to 'Exy' a Finish-Fritz mix last year and miss him terribly, a most devoted companion. Am intuitive and feel well versed in interpreting dog signals! Currently, have lots of indoor and outdoor space and am quite liberal in giving dogs plenty of freedom inside & keen oversight outside, enjoy their cuddliness but am most respectful of your wishes and promise to abide by whatever your qualifications and standards of care might be, so that a consistency of care remains at home and while visiting.

Sarah instantly connected with our dog when we first met and is so warm and friendly. He was well cared for during his stay and we really appreciated Sarah keeping us updated with photos. She was detailed in her questions to us to make sure she maintained his normal routine. A great experience.

June had a great time with Sarah during her recent overnight stay. Sarah was communicative, offering the chance to meet up beforehand, and sharing updates and images so we knew June was in good hands and doing ok. She is located in a beautiful country area and took June on several long walks during her stay. Importantly, Sarah was able to be flexible when it came to drop off and pickup, which was a real help during this recent trip. Will definitely be booking again when the need arises.

I do not have a fenced in yard but the house is up high and set back from the road. I do most of the walks around the corner, on rural quiet roads and quick outdoor visits on our 6 acres out back.

NOTE: * For stays over 24 hours, I ask for $10/hour. * For dogs 75 lbs plus, I request an additional $5/day * I am happy to pick up or drop off but the charge depends on the mileage, rather than a fixed amount as indicated in the Rover format as distances can be significant in the hudson valley.

I work part-time in the neighborhood but I have no particular schedule and most of my work is home/computer-based and I can generally take them with me on errands unless they would prefer not to do short car trips.
