Pet care experience
I have been volunteering and working with animals since childhood, as an adult have volunteered with Oregon Humane Society for over a decade and hosted over 100+ High risk animals through their foster program. I’ve attended many animal safety & care courses in my time with OHS including animal behavior, first aid, bottle feeding, subcutaneous fluid injection trained, etc. I love animals & I just enjoy making them feel safe and comfortable - the best feeling is when a shy foster relaxes with you. I want to bring that experience to take care of your furbabes!

Sarah did a fantastic job taking care of our Lab/Whippet, Holly. We received lots of updates and pictures. Sarah helped our nervous puppy eat and was extremely caring! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to take care of their furry family member.
Sarah was so sweet and understanding with my anxious dogs. She sent updates and pictures daily. It’s hard leaving our dogs because we miss them like crazy and they have separation anxiety, but not all vacations are pet friendly. Given that, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Sarah again. She is great with animals.

Because of my experience, I always meet animals where they are. I let them lead our introduction & take things slow or jump right in depending on what they need. Animals are such pure hearts that ability to build that trust with them is just a rewarding a lovely feeling. I have my own animals and I’ll take the care for yours as if they were my own. I also want to build that trust with you so that you can feel comfortable that I will respect your space and requests completely. Because of my experience & training, I know what to do in the event of an emergency, so your babes will be safe and sound no matter what.

Let me know if your dog is a bolter for the front door or if they might be small animal aggressive. I cannot take any dogs with dog aggression in my home as we have small dogs at home. I’m happy to work with special needs, just talk to me about how I can keep your furbabes safe.
A typical day
We have a large backyard that is fully fenced. There’s chickens in the coop out back but they are secure (please give me a heads up if your pup in a hunter or well intentioned over zealous player so I can be cautious to separate). We take a walk around the neighborhood once a day and then have loves of evening snugs on the couch before bed

I’m currently open most days with flexibility. Friday mornings are often booked off. I have 2 small dogs & home & we do daily walks.
