Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals for my entire life! I grew up with cats, dogs, fish, and cattle and often did work on my grandparent’s chicken farm. I have been around cats since the day I was born, and I’ve always adored being around them. I have experience with special needs cats. I regularly sit for a blind cat and a cat that requires daily medication. I have a lot of experience with medicating cats. My late cat Jet, who was the love of my life, needed multiple meds and vet visits in his last few months. I pretty much transitioned him into hospice at my apartment and made sure his end of life was full of love and treats and playtime when he was up to it. I’m very attuned to the behavior of cats in distress or in need of medical attention. I believe that pet sitting involves more than making sure that they have food, water, and a clean box. I always love to form a bond with the cats that I take care of and make sure that they get plenty of love while their owner is away. I also LOVE getting to send pictures and videos when I am sitting.

I have three cats that I regularly hire Sarah to care for since we travel often. Sarah is experienced with care for all types of animals and takes her role seriously. Sarah is an expert at administering difficult medications to two of our cats, and has a very wonderful bond with my special needs cat who is blind. All of our cats are always thrilled to see Sarah and extremely comfortable around her. I appreciate that she sends us thoughtful photos and updates, which makes being away from our pets so much easier, and I know I can trust her 100%. She's always willing to help with little things while we're gone as well, like checking the plants or learning how to arm and unarm our security system. Sarah also cat-sits for my mother's pets as well and I recommend her to everyone I know! Your pets will be in wonderful hands.
We have three cats, one is blind, and another needs anxiety meds daily. Sarah is so good with all three of them, effortlessly gives medication when needed, and takes extra time to play with them and give them attention, even sending pics of them since she knows I miss them when I’m gone. All of my cats love her. Once, when we needed her to check on the blind cat and give her meds, the kitty was being a little difficult and hiding somewhere Sarah couldn’t reach, so she went to check on the other two kitties (who were living separately at the time) played with them and fed them and then came back to blind kitty afterwards to give her meds when she had come out of hiding, which just shows the extra lengths she goes to to making sure all cats were cared for. I never have to worry about being gone because she cares for our cats like she cares for her own. Best pet sitter we’ve ever had, and only pet sitter we ever will have again!
As someone with a cat that might be harder to love than others, I used to fuss about who I could have look after Louise while away from home. I have found that person with Sarah. I am lucky I have someone I can fully trust nearby to care for my cat when I head out of town. During a recent trip to Chicago, I reached out to Sarah and asked if I could pay her to watch my cat for 6 days. Louise is a bit of a handful, and can be quite bitey if she is in a mood. Our vet mentioned she might have mild feline hyperesthesia, a behavior disorder spawned from allergies, other animals, or overstimulation. Most of the time she is perfectly fine and wants to cuddle or play with her favorite toys, but she does have her moments lol. She loves Sarah and I can tell she enjoys her company. While we are away, I’m constantly worried about Louise and how she is doing. I love it when Sarah sends me daily pictures and updates of my cat, which make my day brighter and makes me feel much less stressed. You can tell that she truly cares about making my cat feel comfortable and active, as well as loved!! It’s been so awesome being able to rely on Sarah. If you’re looking for someone, look no further— Sarah is reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and best of all, loves cats. I can’t recommend her enough!

I have fully open availability on Sundays. Mondays I am available at all times except for between 4 and 6 pm. Tuesdays-Saturdays I am available after 6 PM to spend the evening with your beloved pets.
