My PhD stands for Pretty Happy Dog--and I would be very happy to watch yours! But seriously, I am a doctoral candidate finishing my PhD in Communication and writing my dissertation on online dating in New York City. I just got married several months ago and my husband and I love, love, love dogs! We live in a comfortable, spacious one-bedroom apartment that has plenty of room for cuddly dogs (and great company)! It is in a beautifully maintained brownstone in the 70's near Central Park--the perfect location for all dog activities. When I dog sit I like to keep your dog active and happy- I would take your dog around the neighborhood (I usually do 4 walks a day), to the park and even on shopping trips. If your dog likes to be less active, i'm also looking for a buddy to watch The Real Housewives with! I work mostly from home, so your dog will have a constant companion and plenty of space to run around or relax! My biggest priority is to make sure your dog feels safe and cared for--your dog will have lots of attention from me and my husband. I take a lot of photos and videos, so you can get private updates on our adventures while I look after your pet. I’m a caring, kind individual with lots of interests in the world (including animal care—I grew up with a wonderful cocker spaniel named Caramel) and I would absolutely love to take care of your dog! I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you and your dog.

Sarah did an awesome job taking care of my dog Gus!! This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience very easy and enjoyable. She was incredibly communicative from the minute I reached out. She responded right away and was even generous enough to let me stop by her apartment with my dog so he could meet her and her husband and see where he would stay. She was so sweet and caring towards my dog that all my worries were gone. During his stay she sent daily updates and pictures of Gus- it looked like they had so much fun! When I picked up my dog it was clear he had a wonderful stay and was jumping into Sarah’s arms to say goodbye. I will absolutely use Sarah and her husband again to take care of my dog and would highly recommend them to anyone!! Gus can’t wait for the next time he gets to see them ?
Highly recommend Sarah! She accepted my last minute request as I had a death in the family and took such good care of my 7 mo old Jack. It was his first sleepaway experience and Sarah sent many updates and pictures - he clearly had a great time. Her apartment is clean and beautiful with easy access to the Park and many other attractions in the neighborhood that Jack loves. Will definitely seek her out for Jack's next stay.
Sarah did an amazing job of taking care of my 11 year-old maltipoo! She was super easy to communicate with and sent lots of pictures and videos. She was attentive to his little quirks and took him on adventures in Central Park. I highly recommend booking with Sarah and would definitely re-book as well. She's wonderful!!
Sarah was such a wonderful sitter for my dog, Wally. He typically travels with me, and when he does stay with a sitter he has a bit of anxiety at first. Not with Sarah! She immediately jumped into playing with him, and I could tell made him feel right at home in her place. When my boyfriend picked him up, I asked if Wally was excited to see him. He said yes but that Wally clearly really loved Sarah.

Doggie activities include endless games of fetch (my husband could actually play for hours), window shopping on Columbus ave, dog store and park visits, screenings of Bravo shows, and the list goes on!
