Welcome! I'm an experienced dog sitter with 4 years of experience as a veterinary assistant. My senior dog passed away, and although I'm not ready to give my heart to another dog, I'd love to dog sit for you! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I enjoy getting to know each one. Some important information: 1. I have experience with dogs of a wide variety of breeds and personalities from my years as a vet assistant, so I'm happy to care for any dog, from 10 lbs to over 100 lbs. If you have two or more dogs, I'm the perfect sitter for you - I often care for households with two or more dogs or pets. Anxious dogs, old dogs, goofy dogs, puppies, aloof dogs - I've seen it all. My dog was blind for her entire life, so your special needs pup will be safe with me. I also love caring for cats - I'm familiar with the ways their care, behavior and body language differ from dogs. For both cats and dogs, I tailor the care I provide to the individual pet's needs and routine. Please note: I do not accept dogs with major reactivity issues or any aggression. 2. I am comfortable administering your pet's oral medications. If your pet has any special dietary requirements, that is also not a problem. I'm familiar with many common pet ailments, so if something comes up, I am confident in making a vet visit if need be. 3. My rate will not change based on the size, breed, or number of pets in your household. 4. I'm respectful of your home (my motto is "Leave no trace") and your family's privacy. 5. I can provide daily updates with pictures, or only contact you if there is an issue. It's totally up to you! I want you to be comfortable in knowing your pet is well cared for. Never hesitate to reach out to me! It's not too late or a bad time. I will keep you up to date with your pet's wellbeing. If you've never had anyone pet sit in your home before and you aren't sure what that entails, here's a little info: I will stay overnight with your pets, so I will be sleeping and showering at your home. I'm totally comfortable sleeping wherever in your home works best for you. If you want to leave food for me, that's awesome! But I will also bring my own food if you would prefer that. Please feel free to ask any questions if you're not sure how this works.

It's important for me to know your pet's routine and preferences. If your dog always sleeps on the bed with you, if she eats only a little bit of food at a time, if your cat wants cuddles or to be left alone, etc. I want your pet to be happy and comfortable, and I want to be able to notice if something is wrong. Also, since I am staying in your home, I'm happy to get your mail, water your plants, and take care of anything else that you might need while you are gone.
A typical day
I provide daily walks or playtime and cuddles for your pets - I stick to your pet's regular routine and your preferences with everything from how many treats your dog gets to where she sleeps at night to letting your cat hide undisturbed.

Availability
I work from home full time, so I am able to be at your home with your pets during the workday for anything they need, including potty breaks and play time. Otherwise I will be living my regular life from your home, including leaving for my other commitments. These will not interfere with your pets' schedule and needs, however, and I will be there overnight every night. I do not provide constant care, so if your pet cannot be left alone for 4 hours at a time, I will not be a good fit.
