Pet care experience
I’m new to Rover but have over 4 years of professional pet care experience. I am a lifelong dog owner and friend of animals! I’m a recent AU grad who walked dogs and petsat all throughout college. I know the area and understand the challenges you may face in obtaining QUALITY care or exercise for your pets! I firmly believe animals say so much that humans can overlook, but communication and trust are vital to a good relationship with your animal. I enjoy training and insist on respecting your animal’s boundaries and making sure others in public do the same. I aim to get to know each animal and work with them from there. I do not yell and I will not blame your animal for actions brought about by being a random person in their space! Your pet(s) deserve(s) love, exercise, and attention, and I can't wait to give that to them! Rest easy- I'll send you cute pictures.

I rely on direct and clear communication and expectations between the client and myself, while constantly making sure all animals are comfortable and feel safe. Since I operate in clients’ spaces due to my own living situation, I am familiar with and consistently respectful of the fact that I am engaging with personal property and space. This extends to your pets! I enter your space following the information you have given me about where necessary items are or what routines are expected. I limit where I am in your space and honestly I just love sitting on the floor and talking to pets like they’re humans. I will send updates on your animals and if any problems occur in or outside of your space with them. I do not visit your animal with any other person. I always lock doors and will check any alarms if applicable. If you need me to stay the night, I make sure every space is how you left it!

I would greatly appreciate knowing your dog’s personality, favorite things to do (either to encourage or to look out for!), any big dislikes or distractions, basic commands known if needed and if applicable, any food or medication needed to give. Knowing these allows me to best tailor my care for each dog and look out for their and your best interests.
A typical day
I cater my activities to your dog and what they love best! I love to walk (and/or jog/run) around neighborhoods, parks, and trails to get exercise and maximum sniff time! I love finding quiet spaces of nature with each dog and also just a little spot to people-watch. I am a huge believer in many cuddles, lots of playtime, singing along to music while hanging out and small training acts (even just reinforcing sit or come) to build relationship. I adapt my activities to each dog's love language :)

Availability
I just moved back to the area, so I am quite open and excited to fill my schedule with taking care of your pets! I am trying to get a part-time job at a coffee shop but any position I take will leave plenty of time for your pet to receive excellent care!
